The joke is with the player. You can buy gold from Candy Crush but you can't sell it. The Candy Crush team is not thinking about the player. The Candy Crush team is looking after its own interests, not the player's. The player has the right to use the gold as they wish.

It's not funny, the comment was serious. Do you want to buy coins? This can be done within the app if you go in the shop. But you can't sell them. That feature is not part of Candy Crush.
