Please I need clarity, I'm in lvl 8200+, why does the system keep pairing me up with new players who just started playing the game?

@Alienscar I agree with you, initially weekly contest used to be played among friends, But not anymore.
Sometimes it's fun playing with new players,on some days it's not.
Just about everyone is in the same situation I think @Quicksilverace
why does the system keep pairing me up with new players who just started playing the game?
Why King is doing this no one here can say for sure.
Lack of active players maybe, but that is just a guess.
On top of nothing but new players or players that are below level 1000 and mysteriously start playing again just to appear at the top of our Weekly Contest they also have the X2 points thing going on.
I just don't understand anything about the Contest now and its current format has made me lose interest in it. None of my 'friends' appear in it like they used to and the whole experience makes no sense at all as a Weekly Contest
Every player of the game is experiencing the same as you @Quicksilverace ! Every player is "paired up" only with new starters of the game. I leave you to draw your own conclusions from this. This is not new. It has been this way since the beginning of the year.
