It still amazes me the legendary levels usually have less moves than those marked easy or even hard. Why is that ? It would be great if a developer would take the time to explain that idea.

I think there have been quite a lot of such posts recently. They pop up in the support forum quite often as well as here in Discussions. But you are probably right that most players just quit without coming here. We have nothing to offer them but the advice to quit anyway.
Surprised haven't seen more comments about impossible levels. I guess many have quit because so many levels are impossible without help no matter what Candy Crush says about levels being possible. I am hanging in until my gold bars are gone. Not spending money on what is supposed to be a fun game.

Legendary is one thing. Impossible without boosters or extra moves is another.
The rating of a level appears to not be decided by the developers. Rather, they release the level, and then it is later rated based on how difficult it was for players to beat it.
So actually it is very logical that Legendary levels would have fewer moves. The low number of moves is part of what made it Legendary.

I have tried a 1000 times! Some of the attempts I got a free UFO, but still - this level is beyond impossible when you not want to spend real world money on progress.
I have been been playing this level for a long time and have cleared the board several times. The last dinosaur doesn't get released until the cascade stops after I use my last move.
