I was tagged in a post by @T0rr1e but never received the notification. @christinewupp @teenybee @MannyFae would you please tag me, I want to see if this has stopped working again for me. I would also ask @Alienscar but I think he has given up, hopefully not completely as he will really be missed by many of us 😐

it happens not just at the beginning, but even in the middle when I'm tagging.
Oh I know, tagging is its own special case, but I just mentioned how difficult it can be to start a comment with a tag.
If you read my first comment in the thread I linked you will see that tagging issues aren't new.
The cursor moving back a space mostly occurs at the start of a comment, but for some reason it also affects tagging.
What passes for normal now means you can't start typing a tag and then backspace to edit. If you do you end up in a similar situation as you. If you don't get a tag right the first time you try then you can't change it and you can end up with a failed tag (just text).
There is also the condition that turns a tag into something that prevents any further text being added after it.
Because of the above the cursor movement can cause tagging issues because it is effectively the same as backspacing.
And if I try to edit after posting, the cursor has not jumped around, but the tagging doesn't seem to work.
As before there is little point in editing a tag after posting as the tag will not generate a notification anyway.
If you can try what I suggested next time you have an issue with a tag delete it. Not just the tag but the name of the tagged person as well. Save a draft and then open it and try tagging again. You have to save a draft because once you delete a tag from your post tagging will not work again unless you delete it and open the post again from draft.
I thought I would try it now to see if it still behaves that way, but of course now I cannot edit my post at all. As soon as I type into the edit box, the entire text goes away and all I can do is cancel or submit my unchanged text. I can't even blindly type because my keyboard goes away.
Actually, Alie@AlieAliAlA (I'll leave it in to prove my point, Alienscar), it happens not just at the beginning, but even in the middle when I'm tagging.

Thanks also about asking about my lives I am receiving them Just lately I have been using my 20 everyday with these hard levels and not much gold it gets harder and not many people send them on a regular basis even when asking in the send lives. Bit with all the one amoonmoon sent I am fine at the moment. I still get your 5 every afternoon thanks.
I think your issue is linked to an issue that is a year old now @Nobody1
You can't start a comment with a tag all the time because of an issue that causes the cursor to move left after you type your first character.
and editing it makes the tagging no longer work.

Look what just happened. I started to type Depends what but because of the cursor jump it inserted what in the middle of depends. Just like you I get this a lot.
Anyway, depends on what you mean by edit. If you post your comment and then edit it then yes the tag will not work
If you notice the error in the tag before you post the comment then delete the tag and save a draft. Open the draft and add the tag again until you get the result you want. This way a notification is still generated
Good grief what a mess, @Nobody1 - and look, yours was ok right off the bat. You were top of the tagging list that came up so no problem there. Weird.

ThaThat's what I get when I try to tag. I typed everything exactly correctly to get Christine's tag, and that's what results. And I left the mess at the beginning of this paragraph to show what happens at the beginning of lines too. It is true that sometimes I will be able to see the person to tag after the first character or two, in which case I can pick them and it works. But if it takes more than 2 characters to get the person I want, I wind up with that mess above, and editing it makes the tagging no longer work. So I will continue to never tag, I'm afraid.
🤣 I really should pay more attention, shouldn't I. But at least I know my taggs are working 🤪 due to Clever Cloggs Alienscar.

Just noticed that change in the tagging system too, @christinewupp. What a nuisance. When tagging @Carol-38 I had to scroll down past Carol-1, Carol-2, etc etc to find her. Thank goodness her community name isn’t Carol-347905.

Ahhhh @Alienscar that's why you can't leave us 😂 I've spent all that time asking to be tagged, for no real reason. Let's hope @QueenB can push Vanilla and get it all sorted 🤞

I am receiving yours and Mannyfae's @christinewupp but T0rr1e tagged me at 7.29am in her Lives post and I didn't receive it so I've asked if she'll send me another to test.
I wholeheartedly agree with you about @Alienscar , @Carol-38 . Let's hope they will be back.
I have noted a slight change in the way the tagging options now show up. The offers I get no longer suggest the most tagged or the most active people after typing the first few letters. Instead I have to type the entire name. This may mean there's been a tweak of the system, and hopefully this will have fixed the problem.

I am unable to play this level, it says I need to collect yellow candies and even before I can play I get the no moves available, unable to complete message. How do I get past it? I have posted problem in support but have not gotten a response.
I've been having trouble with trying to get to the next Ad, because every time I think the Ad is finished and I try to go to the next Ad, it takes me completely out of the game. So, then I lose my chance at the level, and the boosters that might have been able to help me. Any suggestions?
