Win streak taken from me

Yesterday I completed the next-to-last episode race, and was sitting at level 19611. I have never started playing that level. I had a win streak of something like 597 levels. Tonight I got out of watching ads and looked at the new weekly contest leaderboard, and started looking at other player cards to see what they look like. Then I poked on my own to see how I compared, and noticed my streak had been reset to zero. You have to scroll way back to see anything other than golden crowns. So I guess it somehow thinks I failed level 19611. But I have never opened that level.

I know caring about a win streak is silly, but I was enjoying building it up. It's pretty frustrating when it goes away for absolutely no reason whatsoever. Very depressing.

I think maybe this happened to me once before many thousands of levels ago, but I had mostly gotten over it and forgotten about it. But somehow being at the end of the map, this hurts more.

At least one thing went right for me this week - I filled the Baker's Boxes, with 28 spoons to spare (thanks to some very lucky guesses).

I think I just figured out what happened to my win streak before. It just happened to me again - I just lost a 430+ win streak.

I was trying to play the last level from last week, before the new levels were released, level 20045. I picked level 20045, and noticed it was surprisingly hard. I failed it but didn't think anything of it.

It appears it was actually playing 20046 instead. I clearly selected 20045, but it put me in 20046 anyway. I think this is exactly what killed my previous streak too.

Lesson learned: NEVER play the previous last level when the new levels have come out. It may kill your win streak.

This has been a truly awful Candy Crush week for me. Lost my 430+ win streak, got stuck with 20 new levels for my gold chocolate box, and was apparently left out of the Candy Cup, all in one week. Very demotivating.

I just used my last 2 UFOs from my old device and completely wiped it to throw it in the trash. Just one device for me from here on in.

Thanks to everyone for the moral support! Unfortunately when I finally entered level 19611, my necklace showed no win streak, and it continued after I completed it.

So now I'm back at the end of the map with a 15 win streak. Oh well. Like cookiemae says, I will just build it back again.

Christinewupp, you might have a point about multiple devices. I only have 2 UFOs left on my old device. I will go burn them on a chocolate box or something and then stop using that device forever. Maybe it won't happen again after that.

@Nobody1 It's not silly to want to keep your win streak. It's an accomplishment to see it go up and up. I have lost so many streaks in the past. I believe I actually had one in the two thousands. Lol after I lost that one it's been downhill every since. Actually this 6 months I don't even get close to 300. You most likely build it back up soon.

Maybe your win streak will reappear once you do start the next episode and pass the first level. I do hope so! Do you have a second device? I wonder if it's possible that there is a synching issue for players who play the same account on two devices. Let us know if you get it back.

Just because your Player Card says you have lost your Win Streak @Nobody1 doesn't mean you have though as you can see in this thread.
