Not connecting to the app

Question

I can play, I can use lives, but can’t connect to the app so can’t use coins for more moves, can ask for lives. The prompt that comes up says cannot connect to the app or store. Please try again later do not uninstall the app. I’ve restarted my phone and that hasn’t fixed anything and I’m kind of at a loss.
