sorry if this is old news, but it’s the first time my chocolate box options have included “in new level wins”
I really don’t like this development (considering that some of the week some of us don’t have new levels to win…)

This task counts bonus moves from Candy Necklace as well.
FWIW my box is still 25 gold (and has been since I started this thread - was 8 for the initial silver box)
I’ll likely complete this today when new levels are introduced so we’ll see what offers I get on the new box
Yes, I also have a feeling that I'll end up with a 20 gold box soon.
I guess you may be also be getting a fourth task option that won't award these, ending up with 20 bars if you finish the box with that task option someday. But currently you get a 4th task that all options give the extra 5 bars.
I didn't use timed boosters for that, no. I have over 3000 of each of those boosters saved up from watching ads, so I was fine using them. They worked for me on old levels; it's possible that's the difference.

why have you changed the rules of the chocolate box requirements, when it’s the only everyday thing you can do to earn rewards?
Does anyone know the difference between “activate boosters” and “use” boosters? As in the top two options above? Why use different language there?

This one I had timed freckles and it worked in new levels. I tried it in old levels with the timed booster but it did not work, so only new levels. These unnecessary changes are so annoying. It also only counts when you pass the level. 😐️
Oh, Oops, I missed that yours had the bonus gold bars. So that explains the difference.
They're certainly keeping us on our toes.
And boosters from inventory do count indeed. The logic here is probably that you have to either play new levels or spend something from your stock. If timed boosters were counted on old levels, it would be too good.
My chocolate box offers 20 gold plus 5 extra gold for the last task, so I think I may indeed be in a different test group. Also, I have only tested timed boosters on old levels so far; I will check how boosters from inventory work once my timed booster runs out.
That's weird, MannyFae. Just yesterday I was completing this exact option, and for me I very carefully checked - I WAS able to use old levels. I was also able to use Star Tournament levels. I did the first few with old levels, then did the rest with Star Tournament levels to complete the box.
I wonder if it's different because of test groups, or if they changed it since yesterday?
This option seems poorly designed and impracticable. Timed boosters are an integral part of the game and of my own gameplay in particular. I actually buy time boosters with gold bars from my inventory! The daily treat machine and many events give us timed boosters as well. If these don't count then this chocolate box requirement cannot be fulfilled by players using the best available strategies and who are in fact playing the game as intended. Many of the in game offers to purchase with real money include timed boosters!
@QueenB is there a chance any of this feedback can be sent back to the developers? Timed pre level boosters are an integrated part of the game we play and of how King have designed the game, so they should count towards all the chocolate box orders.
'Use striped+wrapped pre-game booster' option:
I finished this 'chose striped+wrapped candies' task at last and its behavior on new levels is weird. It seems that it is the Candy Necklace items that are counted in this case, not the timed boosters themselves.

Did you know that this Community offers unique badges for passing milestone levels? All of our badges for milestone levels can be found in the "Contests" section of this forum. Tap on the "Contests" button near the top of this page to get to that section. Once there, you will find hyperlinks for all milestone badges near the top of that page. You must post a screenshot of your game map showing your avatar next to your current level in each of the threads for badges 1K through 20K. Your well-deserved badges will be awarded after you post your screenshot in those milestone level threads. Again, Congratulations on your progress in Candy Crush Saga!
You might also want to check out other opportunities in our Contests section. You can win boosters or gold bars in your game or more unique badges for your Community profile.
If I remember correctly if you fail to finish it in time you would be downgraded back to Classic. If the Gold Box only gives 20 Bars, the last task will certainty give you additional 5 bars for a total of 25 and 3 mins of Color Bomb based on others screenshots. I don't have this yet but I do have some of the interface changes, particularly upon finishing one.

BOOSTERS are NICE. They help you GET OUT of TIGHT SITUATIONS but sometimes when you are OUT OF MOVES, they won't do you any good. How about making 15 EXTRA-MOVES permanent in the DAILY BOOSTER WHEEL?
