I hope your level 12890 is like mine.
This level is a rare legendary puzzle-like level with a complex board that is a bit confusing.
The first task is to clear the toffees around the starting area. Clearing enough of them will unlock the boxes on the top row. Inside, there are bonbon blitz boxes that have the vertical stripe effect.
Now I need to make matches next to those vertical striped boxes. They will fire and hit the striped boxes that are located near the cakes. The board is unlocked by clearing all those striped boxes, that is the basic mechanism of this level. Clearing them as soon as possible is crucial. This will also clear the cakes, but cakes are unimportant.
Once the board is unlocked, the top side areas will gradually fill up with toffees that drop. There are also toffees in the bottom part of the board. I will have to collect all the toffees at the bottom, plus some of the toffees that will drop at the top, and some blue candies on top of that.
I can activate vertical stripes in the middle column to hit the horizontal striped box on the bottom row. There is a stripe dispenser to help. But, knowing that the level has very few moves and I will need the toffees on the sides anyway, I will try to set up something that will help me collect them. I'm hoping for a wrap+stripe combo.
With seven moves left, I still haven't had any luck setting up a wrap+stripe combo. A couple of vertical stripes dropped from the dispenser and fired, so the toffees at the bottom are partially cleared. I will now set off a stripe+stripe combo to hit the striped box on the bottom row and at least some of the toffees on the sides.
Now the striped box on the bottom row is gone, and I will have to make matches near the toffees at the bottom to collect the rest of them. This is where the game can help by dropping the right candies to create cascades that will clear toffees and as well as collect some blue candies. I need this help to stand a chance of winning this level in 19 moves.
The game helped me, but in a very odd way. It created a fish+wrap combo. Note that the fish are generally useless on this level. They never target toffees, and they don't target the blue candies I need to collect either. However, if I set off this combo, where will the fish go? When the board has no items that fish normally aim at, they will go for special candies. And I have one — a green wrapped candy at the top. I wouldn't mind if it exploded, because there are toffees next to it. So I will set off the fish combo.
Wow, I have collected all the toffees I needed! A combination of fish and wrap created a 5x5 explosion around the square it hit, and the green wrap that was in that square also exploded. The help from the fish was the last thing I expected to happen on this level!
I need to collect eight blue candies in two moves, so I need a bit of luck with cascades again, and I'm in luck.
Matching three blue candies is all that is needed to win.
Unfortunately, I have to say that the level has too few moves, and without the extra moves, it's very difficult to win. Starting with boosters can improve your chances as you will be able to clear the striped boxes more quickly, but the rest is so dependent on luck that those starting boosters can be wasted. Most likely, you will have to spend 10 gold to pass this one.

why have I lost all my inventory totals on Candy Crush Saga?
Do we know when the levels that aren't propagating yellow candies will be fixed (i.e.11859)? It's been a couple of days now that they haven't been working correctly…
This level does not release yellow candies at all. Do you refund the money spent trying to do this level. do you notify me when it's fixed?
