The New Candy Crush (2025): How to use events to beat the game

This is an update for December 2025:

Events and features are a key part to playing Candy Crush. They give players boosters and gold to help pass levels which are designed to require gold or boosters to pass. So playing features and events wisely is so, so important to success.

King control which features and events we get. King place players into different test groups and each group gets a "bespoke" selection of events and rewards.

Events are full of illusions and manipulations. Players need to see through those to make the most of the events.

Those other players are not real. They have been picked by King from their enormous database especially for you, to match your own playing style, to compete against in:

Episode Race
Candy Royale
Weekly Contest
Factory Frenzy

You are not competing against others, you are competing against the game.

Understand how these and all the other events work and you can beat the game.

To read more specific tips please change the thread order to "sort by oldest". Then you will see my original tips, which I do keep updated.

The Episode Race in my test group never lose, why?😆🤭

When I played the race which was started YESTERDAY. This means this race has opened almost 24 hours.

The first one was staying one level before the goal.

I should have lost the race, so this notice appeared after I finished the race:

Streak ended.

Bom! The notice was broken!

I won the race😂

From 5 spoons increase to 7 spoons today.😆

So this thread is also dated. However here are some uptodate discoveries I have come up with:

Weekly Contest/Chocolate box orders

We need to get three podium positions to get first prize. We don't need to come first and getting to third position is relatively easy for most players if we play as much as usual. So anyone should be able to get this final prize:

Make sure you claim it at the time convenient for you. You can time the moment you claim this and any prize by the moment you actively press the "claim" button. The timer for this and all other timed boosters will start to count down in synch with the time on your phone the moment you press "claim". Time it well and you could get additional timed boosters. For example this morning my 6th daily stamp was due at the same time, giving me more timed boosters including 15 minute UFO. If you aquire an additional timed booster at any time while one timed booster is active it will get added: they stack. Also most of us now can purchase timed boosters with gold from the inventory. So it is possible to spend gold to buy timed boosters to top up such free offers. This can be seen as an investment (in fake gold terms) in Candy Crush if your aim is to make more fake gold: We now see gold chocolate boxes which pay out gold bars for using boosters. I have one such box which has an option for either wraps, colour bombs, or booster use, none of which require new levels and all of which can be fulfilled with my favourite go-to level in a short period of time. If you time your events well you could make gold from playing old levels.

The weekly contest definitely tracks your own progress and determines difficulty according to this. Whenever I play no new levels for one entire week I get extremely easy opponents who have apparently stopped playing, making it easy to get the first prize. I think the trick here is to not enter the contest at all until the weekend or perhaps not even for an entire week. This stop-start kind of playing also gives you better outcomes from Candy Royale and the super charger, both will appear at the same time making Candy Royale easier to win. If you don't like to pause playing because you have "the habit" I would recommend playing two games, at least if you have two devices (playing two accounts on one device can lead to merging and is not recommended). Play one account one week and pause the other, and the other account the next week and pause the first. That way you get easier opponents and better events from the game. If like me you changed your phone to a new one, keep the old one just for a second Candy Crush account. I use mine on wifi only (or linked to the new phone) and you won't need a SIM card. It's what I did well over a year ago and it works really well for me. You can still log in, send lives and get the daily treats on both accounts.

The game tracks if we play new levels and uses this information to adjust events and overall difficulty. Anyone who does not pass new levels will get an easier game. Anyone who passes lots of new levels gets a more difficult game. The game is bespoke to each player and the AI uses the events and features to determine the overall difficulty for each one of us according to how we play. We need to adjust our player behaviour in order to outwit the game.

I noted this too and was in fact was going to mention it here. I noted it by chance as suddenly my Bakers box spoons kept going up and up although I wasn't passing any new levels. That is a neat way to get to the two party poppers. This event is and remains a treasure trove.

If a player keeps a very high win streak, even worse there has NO EXTRA MOVES in the last bag only😡, this means the players has higher chance to get dragon appearing in last move or order appearing in last move.

There have been some recent changes in the Win Streak you may or may not have noticed:

We now get two jelly fish in the top win streak, but at the same time we now only get one wrap + stripe. If you look closely you also note that the number of additional moves is reduced at win streak 6. This means that the Top Win Streak bag is in fact worse than the ones before it! In fact those jelly fish do not feature on the opening board each time, they only show up on jelly order levels, and they are completely useless on the opening board anyway. In fact they can be destructive.

Other recent changes have seen a regrouping of levels to always have the hardest levels at the end of each episode, one after the other. These two features may act together to serve King: Players will enter the hardest levels of each episode on a top win streak. In order to keep the win streak (and the super charger, no doubt) players will remain on this reduced benefit top bag for the hardest part of the episode.

I would advise to check what your win streak bags look like and which is the most beneficial. Do not take it for granted that the top win streak offers the best rewards, it most certainly does not!

This general rule applies throughout most of the game features and events: If you are "good" at the game, meaning you pass a lot of levels, the game become tougher to beat and features and events show up less frequently and/or have a reduced benefit. The better you are at Candy Crush the harder it gets.

Factory Frenzy is back but boosters collected on failed levels do not count. However that doesn't really matter much since winning one level is usually enough to earn the prize(s) if you have figured out how to claim them.

Thank your precious advice. I like this event too. In a 30- minute version, when I earn over 250 stripped candies, I get the prizes. Using your method, I could get over 50 times😁

Hi guys. I've got to bring this thread back to the front page, because this one is just too good to miss. Anyone who doesn't want to enter the 1st Knockout phase of the Candy Cup just yet, you can't get anywhere in Season Pass and you won't be able to fill your gold chocolate box unless you get some timed UFOs or Party poppers from somewhere.

But Factory Frenzy is back, glitch and all. This event is great for anyone who wishes to fill their time not winning levels to delay entry to the knockouts for the Candy Cup @michimune. I have seven hours left on the event. I don't want to pass any levels, old or new. But Factory Frenzy pays out boosters even if we fail the level, so long as it's a new unplayed one. So fail I do while trying to collect as many striped candies as I can. It's a fun challenge. So long as I don't actually pass the level I won't enter the knockouts.

Some players get a version that grants a UFO per win, while others get a lollipop. I guess the UFO version is the only one really worthwhile going for.

Using this Express Delivery on those timed boosters players cannot buy by gold bars:

especially the 20 minutes of party poppers are very helpful 😆

If a player offline playing the first 5 levels on a new episode, online playing the sixth level for starting the episode race with this 20 minutes of party poppers. It is sufficient for the last 9 levels 🤭

Daily Stamp refreshes at 1am UK time daily, so if a player is available at that refresh time, one episode can get two stamps😁

It is a pretty useless offer anyway @Judy_Cardamone since it awards us only timed boosters and those only if we then go on to pass the level on which it pops up. So in essence the Express Delivery offers no help at all: We can pay 9 gold bars ourselves to get half an hour of timed colour bombs in our inventory. If we pay 10 gold bars to pass the level for which Express Delivery popped up (and it only ever pops us after we have failed a level repeatedly) then we are actually one gold less well off than if we had bought the timed boosters ourselves. It's a psychological trick, and what makes it the most useless feature of them all is this fact: Players only get offered it if we have failed a few times, so we are probably down to two or three lives by this point. Of course King are aware that players use a well publicised method to get past the 25 lives (5 lives now and 20 from friends) restriction but this would also lose players their timed boosters. This is probably one reason the game bombards us with timed boosters like it does now. To get our own back and beat the game we need to understand these tricks and outtrick the game. Express Delivery is not free boosters: It's a marketing trick to get us to buy lives.

As for the 5 minute free timed party popper we get once in a blue moon: If like me you start each day with a new episode, you will get the timed party popper from the daily win or stamp after you pass the first new level which is also the first level of the episode race, and at this point in the episode there are all manner of pop-ups. If you have the pins feature or Midsummer Murder Mystery Mahem Meltdown, then those pop-ups come as well at this point. I have timed myself as you suggest: I once had so many pop-ups that more than one of the five minutes was already gone by the time I started the first level. I always time my five minutes party poppers, and they are always correct according to the time of the clock set on my phone: If I gain the five minutes when my clock is at 13.05h then the party poppers will disappear when the clock on my device reaches 13.10h or beyond. You can also check how long you have got left by going into your inventory.

As for the suggestion of players being penalised or targeted because they complain, I am almost certain that this cannot be the case: I have not heard of anyone being penalised for speaking their minds here or elsewhere. We are allowed to complain as much as we like. But just don't expect anyone at King's to listen or take any note. I very much doubt they still have humans reading what we write here anyway after they laid off most of their staff.

I have no idea what you are talking about. I have NEVER HEARD of or gotten an "express delivery" of anything and many times I played until I got 245+ extra moves. Am I being targeted by Candy Crush because I complain? I have not once gotten anything "free" unless I win. And I am starting to "time" the cone popper booster I win for 5 min because I think they cheat on that as well.

I cannot guarantee anything @teeweiping since King change the game so often. In fact some of my advice in this thread is already out of date. Normally I would say you'd be safe if you finish an episode within 4 hours at these level ranges, but given that this means so much to you in your aim to reach the 200 badge I have to say that I cannot guarantee this. It's not 100% sure. The best way to complete the entire episode is in one sitting. That way I have never failed an episode race. Whenever you close the game, or the game closes by itself because of inaction, the episode race reloads and updates, and then there is a small chance that you may lose it.

I wish to know that if I keep the game open and my level range is 1-3000, how long can I be sure I won't lose the Episode Race? How long does it take approximately?

Sometimes in real life, my mom and dad will ask me for help without letting me know earlier or some emergencies and unknown circumstance that me need to pick up immediately, let's say at that time I have already started my Episode Race, then if I leave my phone there and come back after 3 or 4 hours, is it possible I lose it?
