True but the focus of the game has definitely shifted to make money! The new owner needs to make its profit! If it don't make dollars then it don't make sense!

Under Activision they continued to operate as a separate unit

Yes but the reality is it is not even close to being the same company selling first to Activision and then to Microsoft, making a once fun challenging game into a straight money grab and now trying to eliminate the human touch and seeing if AI does better at extorting your money!
There are no words @Boybinary to describe how after twelve years of doing the same thing a company can screw up in such a monumental style.
