Why are we not playing against people on a similar level? There are very new players who can get over a hundred wins in a week because their levels are easy and us that at higher levels will never have a chance to win

Hi Tetem. I want to re-surface this post. It is impossible for people in high levels to compete against players in lower levels. Not to mention ad-boosters are less and blocked for some levels (terrible new feature).
This force players to uninstall the game and close the account as it gets frustrating to see King does not encourage players to play anymore, only to expend money in the game.
I've read enough farewell posts of people saying goodbye after 10+ years of playing Candy Crush. And I don't want to be the next, so I'm giving the game one more chance. I hope this message finds its way to some caring product builder, and realize that people playing the game for years is who kept it alive.
It was a brand new account. I started at level 1 on Tuesday and reached level 742 on Sunday.
I also have games at level 8000 and at level 19,000 and I find that using the same strategy my speed of playing is much the same across all the level ranges. It is no longer true that levels in the early part of the game are innately easier to pass. King control the difficulty of all the levels and they put in blocker levels at all level ranges. In the upper ranges we do need to play more boosters to pass, but players have had more time to accumulate gold and boosters by this point, whereas new players might run out of lives mid episode since they have not made enough friends in the game to get lives from friends and have not learned how to get more lives from the well established tricks that experienced players use. New players are also more easily fooled by King's tricks to make them waste their gold and boosters, so I do not agree with the notion that players at early levels are at an advantage in the game.
What level are you on that you can reach 742 in one week?
Hello @Tetem' I know that all players compete against players who only started playing that week in the weekly race. King have fixed this event so that it is challenging for us to get on to the podium and so that we will have to work very hard to get to first position. You might like to ask them HOW they have fixed it though, as I am still not clear about this. I recently started a game as a new player and found myself in this position:
As you can see from this screenshot the opponents in 4-8th position were new players who stopped playing after 1-7 levels. This is not unusual as opponents for brand new players starting their first weekly race. I started mine on Tuesday and then went on to play an unusually large number of levels for a first week player: I had reached 742 levels within five days. Could you ask King to shed any light on how they picked this other player for me to compete against. When we were allocated the opponents King could not have foreseen that I would play over 700 levels in my first week. So how come I was placed with one opponent this strong? Can this really be a coincidence?
My question to King is direct: Is this "Player" a troll placed in my game by King?

I understand how you're feeling about competing against players at a lower level in the Weekly Contest, and will gladly share this with the Studio.
While in some features it might be more beneficial to have reached a higher level, I can see how with this event this might not be the case.

I have run a lot of tests on and researched the weekly contest and have found that this event is fixed by King in such a way that all of us will have to work hard to get onto the podium, and work even harder to get to first position. I am not sure if the other players are real or are recordings but King do pick them specifically for each one of us, so those of us who only play a few levels per week will get much easier opponents than players who pass hundreds of levels.
Every player only gets new players as opponents. This is part of how King control the difficulty of this event somehow. It absolutely does not mean that those people are harder to beat: I recently had opponents who all played just one, two or seven levels of the game and then quit, like this one:
The event was recently changed so that we can no longer see the player cards of those on the podium. Those players may be recordings, King trolls or real players, but if they are real they do not see us in their own weekly race. So we are not actually competing against real people, we are competing against the game. This is very similar to the way that the episode race works.
