I have tried a 1000 times! Some of the attempts I got a free UFO, but still - this level is beyond impossible when you not want to spend real world money on progress.
You are correct. This level appears to be impossible to pass without paying gold. It is not uncommon to have such levels now (November 2025) throughout Candy Crush but it is a much more common sight in the last 2000 levels of the game. At this stage players cannot earn as much gold from events (such as the episode race) as they are forced to spend to pass such levels. So if you were to pay to pass this one you can expect to see a lot more of such levels in the episodes to come.
Players who have got this far without spending money are not valued by King: They are a lost cause to them. Some players still have a lot of gold bars saved up and they are now being forced to use them. Impossible levels like this one are part of the method used by King to make the last few non-paying customers pay. Some of us did manage to get to the end of the map but only because we had thousands of gold bars still saved up. However if you reach this level range with no gold left then that is the end of the road for you. It's either pay or quit.
Also, good to note: using boosters at the start does not help. Available are (1) colour bomb; (2) wrapped & striped; and (3) jelly fish. But as you can see the game starts with a very limited narrow board, while trouble is only unlocked when you have cleared the indicated number of coloured candies.
