This level is actually impossible. I had a 2 color bomb combo and a UFO but still wasn't even close to beating this level. It will require vastly more moves than are given or can be earned. How long before this gets fixed?

Correct. So the strategy that works is replay the level about twenty times after which the game should offer you enough extra moves for ten gold bars. That is how Candy Crush is now meant to be played. The game has changed: It is now about budgeting gold bars, no longer about passing individual levels.
172 blocks and 116 shading in 20 moves is impossible. There isn't a strategy that works. Onky way to beat it is to have more moves, a lot of extra moves.

I'm sorry level 18997 is giving you a hard time. For this level, I would recommend making matches underneath the striped candy dispenser so that you can then combine striped candies to help clear large areas of the board faster.
