Why on the Booster Wheel, when one is lucky to get the 15 minute UFO booster, the time that it actually is "working" is way less. I got it 2 days ago, and within 5 minutes the booster was "depleted". Not impressed.
The timer starts the moment that you get the prize and counts down in synch with the time set on your phone. I have never known it to fail like that. I always get the exact time stated for all my timed boosters: You can check how much is left by clicking on your inventory, underneath your avatar at the top of the map screen. It will show how much time is left.
Often time runs down more quickly than we think. The many pop-ups waste time, as does watching any ads. If you leave the game and come back to it the time continues to run down. Also of note: If you change the clock or date forward you immediately lose all timed boosters.
Yeah, I feel you—that booster can be super disappointing. The 15-minute UFO sounds amazing, but in practice it doesn’t always last that long. Usually it’s because the timer only counts down while you’re actually using it on a level. So if you pause, switch levels, or it only triggers on certain moves, it can feel like it’s gone in 5 minutes.
Totally annoying, I know. You’re not imagining it—lots of players feel the same way. Candy Crush can be a little sneaky like that sometimes.
