sorry if this is old news, but it’s the first time my chocolate box options have included “in new level wins”
I really don’t like this development (considering that some of the week some of us don’t have new levels to win…)

Im also fine with the 24 hour limit, seems rasonable. Probably many people were earning too much gold with the chocolate box.
One other thing that happened today, was that i didnt have ads when loosing any level but ads are active, because i could see the sweet cinema. Anyone else who have ads, realized this?
I would agree that waiting 24 hours is reasonable if I weren't in the 18000s 🙂 Being able to fill more than one box per episode helps to stay afloat.
On the plus side all this seems to suggest that the 200 gold limit trial failed and that nonsense is not going to be rolled out to all.

I've had a similar experience with the gold elite box. It's kind to players who prefer to scroll back to go-to levels and not play more than one episode per day. I think the delay seems reasonable to be honest. I don't mind waiting 24 hours to do the next. I remember that is how it used to be years ago as well. It helps King keep track of the maximum of gold players can make in the game. On the plus side all this seems to suggest that the 200 gold limit trial failed and that nonsense is not going to be rolled out to all.
You can't get an Elite Chocolate Box if you have the old style any longer.
So I guess you don't get Win Levels with 3 Stars task as one of the first three tasks on an Elite Box and you get just the Lollipop/Free Switch/Candy Collection (In new level wins)/Special Candy Collection in them. The last time I had an elite box, was in the old style and had encountered the Unplayed levels task even before getting into the final task. Because the Elite Box is not much different besides more Gold, lower duration and longer cooldown (The non-elite ones has a cooldown too but its too small to notice it as it is 5 minutes), it might be as similar as the non-elite box.
Mine has not been elite so far this weekend, although I haven't done any yet today. I am still back on the old chocolate box orders - I had the new ones for a few weeks and then it went back to the old ones. I got back to the end of the map on Wednesday, and since then it has been very kind to me. I have done 5 or 6 chocolate boxes since then, including 2 yesterday. It keeps giving me UFOs for the last order, and then giving me UFOs with extra moves for ads after I fail a level. So I've been doing a lot of Star Tournament for that.
How was the first three tasks?
In three boxes, I've seen bombs/stripes/wraps, use hands/hammers, 'win levels with three stars', one 'pass 20 new levels' (!) task, i.e. anything but collecting colored candies.
How was the first three tasks? It seems for accounts that play less they don't appear to offer the Elite Chocolate Box as they don't seem to give it to accounts with the old version.
I've got it too, in all three accounts. So it really does look like this is a universal feature.
Yes, I got the 'Elite Challenge' chocolate box with a 24-hour timer this weekend. The timer starts when a new box is started. Now, the cooldown timer is the last thing I would want to see in a chocolate box. If it's a weekend-only feature (I hope it is), I guess I will have to stop playing on weekends. If every box comes with a timer from now on… 😡

My chocolate box changed once again. Now when I fill the chocolate box, I get a 3 hour timer untill next one.
Anyone also have this timer?
Judging from another user, it seems they no longer offer the Chocolate Box changes to accounts that play 60 or less new levels per week (Also accounts who are at the top of the map). For those, they could give out the new fourth chocolate tasks plus the color tasks that don't require new levels instead of seeing the original version. This mirrors the recent Prize Palooza event (Which I can't see due to 30+ Gold amount) in where such players do not get the version where only new levels work (They get the version where all work but new levels and Star Tournament give out x30 multiplier)
I have moved on to the Gold level again, however. Now done all three initial box levels (Classic, Bronze, Silver). I will keep the Box open until new levels come out but on the first Gold box I've done all possible booster tasks you can get on the first three chocolates. This would be done even with the new style, too as this would save a lot of work for new levels (Or for later in the current case, box will continue with 2500 Orange (Not Orange in new level wins)).
If I will still be receiving out old style boxes again for a long time, then the only obstacle will be the fourth chocolate if all of its options lack a booster option this time. While the silver had 6 First Try Wins, I've finished it with a single UFO.
Those tasks weren't too bad for me as I don't usually get stuck but without having the ability to finish them using Star Tournament is makes the box more difficult to be finished or even impossible. I'm waiting for new levels to pop up this Wednesday but they won't serve any usefulness for the first three tasks as unfortunately I got back to the old version today and means that I can finish them without a hitch with old level replays. Though I got used to the "in new level wins" color collection tasks for the higher levels (Silver and Gold). For the last new levels I've done, I've done only those color tasks in new level wins for the box followed by First Try Wins, one of the four original tasks you could find in the fourth task
I HATE HATE HATE any tasks that require New Levels wins. The chocolate box is one of the only sub-games that works for players at the end of the board, so this development is a major bummer. I hope it goes away, along with ALL the other "New Level only" things that only serve to leave out your most loyal players.
If possible, can the new fourth chocolate tasks for Silver and Gold boxes be also given to players that don't have the colors in new level wins tasks in those boxes. This way all users will have access to these tasks while keeping the color tasks in new level wins as a rollout feature.
I let the previous box expire but it seems I'm out on this nice change still as today I've seen the old style tasks again and this is evidenced that the silver box gave a color collection task that didn't require new level wins today, something I didn't expect.
Unfortunately its true that I have the Old style Chocolate Box tasks once again and I no longer like it as previously as I liked to finish such boxes (Silver and Gold) within the new tasks you could find in the fourth Chocolate.
Has the rollout of the new box halted again? Because after I allowed to let the box expire (It did today and the first two box levels done with ease), I also expected to still have the new box style tasks in addition. Having a Gold box with color collection tasks that can be done within any level no longer feels like a true Gold box anymore.
If you have ads and you get the chance to get a UFO, then this UFO will also count towards the UFO task as well.
Also, its nice that the pregame booster tasks are doable with timed uses on old levels. Previously, timed uses needed new levels, one of the reasons such tasks were excluded when this version was reintroduced again

Also, how one can know which Chocolate Box style you will get if your current box expires and you start over with a Classic Box as on that box you can't really know if you will receive old or new box style tasks. The box that wasn't able to be progressed was on the new style. The last box that was finished with 3 UFO was also new style as the third task had Orange in new levels and was changed for the Color Bombs task.
Since I've got new style box tasks on my account for the higher levels, I no longer prefer or like the old style tasks any longer at least in the Silver and Gold boxes since you will be forced to use a booster to close such boxes if you don't have any new levels on the map to do for those levels. But with the new style, you weren't always forced though as you've also had the ability to finish the box with any level completions (Just being with 3 stars) and even by doing the hard CB+CB combo. But I want to see a box closing with a pregame booster (Like what MannyFae showed to us before) instead of seeing back the old style box tasks.
I feel for you. Last time I was stuck with reds in new levels, I was averaging about 7 per level. Needless to say I timed out too.
I still have the old chocolate box. I had the new one for 2 to 3 weeks about a month ago, but then went back to the old style and I'm still getting the old style tasks now.
Started an offline account again and I was shocked to see that the Chocolate Box was the old style in where the Silver and Gold levels had color collection tasks that didn't require new levels and the fourth task having only four possible options instead of more than four with four of them being presented (Unplayed, 1st Try Wins/Gold Crown, Party, UFO). Has someone else got offered the old Chocolate Box style once again (From users who had it at least during the beginning of this month)? Mine is unknown as I'm now waiting for the box to expire.
At first I was supposed to see that almost all users had been switched to the new ones minus a few but seeing this, it might be the case that King is also doing the opposite for some users than what @MannyFae showed where the box was tweaked with the fourth task now offering once again the choose pregame boosters tasks .
The only task that has been made harder seems to be the UFO task. All others I've seen so far were pretty ordinary.
So they buffed Gold Box to have harder task amounts? Unfortunately I'm out on this one until the current ones expire as I don't have any further new levels to finish out the red candy task

I've just noticed that my current box rewards 30 gold.
It asks for 5 UFOs, which is too many unless you have a timed one.
The 'use pre-level boosters' task is back, and this time it counts timed boosters on old levels. 10 minutes of color bombs from Season Pass was enough to fulfill the task on level 1375.
I completed two boxes on one episode, yay!
Same to me. Timed UFO + Untimed UFO + UFO from ads did closed the past box with 3 UFO

Today my timed UFO usage were not counted for the chocolate box task. Is this something new?
Now got an obstacle on Chocolate Box. All four options of the 2nd task are colors in new levels, was expecting the last option be something doable without new level wins and Star Tournament does not work with these but unfortunately this will cause the box to expire at the same time. What can be done to prevent this?
If possible, can Star Tournament count as new level wins for the Chocolate Box only as this will create minor issues for users who never have left a box expire before. Unfortunately, by next week the current box will have expired and may be difficult to go back to gold level especially if one chocolate in the silver box only offers something doable with new level wins in its all four options. This is fortunately the only thing I don't like (Being stuck in the Chocolate Box).
If this can't be done, at least all four chocolates should offer at least one option that will work without new level wins (i.e. A chocolate shouldn't have its all four options being colors in new level wins)
One of my accounts is still playing the old version of chocolate box which can use any levels to finish the tasks. And that device is Candy Crush version: 1.310
I still had the old kind as recently as yesterday. But I am not progressing now, waiting for the new version with the episode race bugfix, so I don't know if it will go away once I start making real progress again.
I had the new chocolate box for only a couple of weeks a few months ago, and since then I have been back to the old box.
why is this back?! I cant win any chocolate boxes cause im stuck on a super hard level that wont move me forward! This new feature needs to end!

So you got back the old version again? I have the new ones still. Or your box downgraded back to Classic? Classic and bronze boxes do not have color tasks in new level wins
the chocolate box went back to normal now it is back again and have to reach another level to collect blue balls not happy as i thought the chocolate box was suppose to help you get to another level now when on a very hard level ni on impossible i am also still getting gliches in the chocolate box where it is not calculating correctly and not adding onto my score after playing a level not really enjoyable any longer and i have played for years
I had the same problem. I saw there was a new comment by MannyFae. Clicking on the thread did nothing. I found these comments by clicking on the search box and typing in "chocolate box changes", which brought the thread up complete with all comments.
This needs fixing ASAP because no newbie would know how to find these comments.
