After the update of the event, tier1 and tier2 doesnt award the party popper anymore, so it makes the event useless. You need to finish 2 episodes to complete the event.

This is the version I get at level 11,000+

This speaks for itself. I could have played faster. This included a few replays of failed levels. But we cannot make more orange in one episode than what is written into the game. So no thanks, not for me tonight.

There is indeed more time for this one, but the best prize is a UFO, not the party popper.

It also knocks out orange candies when you fail a level. One day at the 2800 ones, after I was forced to lose a life due to glitch, it knocked me out to 1000 candies

I guess the version of the troll event without Party are now offered to the first two stages which have double time than before for the first slice of cake.

I agree with you on this event. It's fixed so that it's practically impossible to achieve the full cake. I played it yesterday: I finished the episode but was a few orange short of the 2000 needed. I was almost out of time too, but that doesn't bother me because I know how to get around the time issue. However, am I going to start a second episode late at night just to get that one party popper? NO! It's a stupid event and I don't like it. I think it's fixed so that even if you play fast enough you have to play more than one episode to get the best piece of cake.

I didn't want to disappoint Sativa @MountainMom so, I did not comment in that thread: To truly beat the troll we need to get the piece of cake at the bottom that has the party popper. We only have 45 minutes for that. After that slice is gone we then get another 45 minutes to beat the troll to the next slice. This is what Sative achieved.

This challenge genuinely runs my experience of the game.
I have won a couple of times but the experience has been stressful. I hate everything about it. I hate that too may levels don’t have orange candies. The game animations take up so much time. And when you fail at collecting 2000, your then tasked to collect 2500. It appears that once the troll takes a bite, it also knocks down your orange count so you have more to collect. This time is was about 100 away from 2500, and now won’t get anything as every bite is knocking me back down to 2000. I would like to opt out.

How the stars aligned:

won 1 hour of timed color bomb booster from the daily booster machine
already had a decent win streak going into the levels
levels themselves were mostly easy
two of the levels (2742 and 2746 I think) were fantastic for farming orange candies
only needed to use 1 free switch, 1 lollipop hammer, and 1 UFO for the difficult levels

Regular speed, about 5 minutes left, every level completed first try

And is the case. 2800 Candies tier is unchanged.

At 2800 orange candies in fine dining, the prizes do not be nerfed, so it is still 45 minutes.

In 2000 and 2500 orange candies, if the prizes have been nerfed, i.e. no party popper, a player will have 1 hour and 30 minutes for the first tier.

2500 candies tier also has twice the time limit for the first piece of cake, in case you're wondering about it. No Party either. The 2800 ones will be checked tomorrow but one hint: Has Party

I have just been running some tests to practice for major leaderboard collections, using the chocolate box orders as counter. I managed to collect 2610 green (orange would probably be similar) in 28 minutes. So I guess it's possible. The pre 3000 level ranges are quite good for orange, but further up there are ranges with levels that do not have any.

And here is me thinking there were only two different speeds in the game. Thank you for pointing this out.

I've managed to complete the first two tiers (2,000 and 2,500 orange candies, respectively) with all pieces of cake intact, but the third tier (2,800 orange candies) remains out of reach. In order to complete the third tier without the Bubblegum Troll eating a piece of the cake, you have to turn on the higher game speed in Settings and breeze through as many levels as possible on your first try while minimizing the number of ads you watch. Unless you find yourself on a level that gives you tons of orange candies and allows you to stall easily, the timing is extremely tight. You will not complete this in one episode, so watching the ads at the end of an Episode/Champions Race might prove to be a liability. If you do watch those ads, then everything else has to be perfect.

This event stops being worth it if you spend lots of boosters or gold bars. Ever since they moved the speed toggle to the Settings menu, I've stopped caring about the second and third tiers of this event. I just let the timer fully run out after I'm done playing new episodes for the day.

By the way, the game speed increases past level 1,000. In the first 1,000 levels, the speed toggle allows you to switch between the first and second speed levels. Once you reach level 1,001, you can only switch between the second and third speed levels, but the speed toggle still shows one or two arrows, respectively. This event is much harder to complete with all pieces of cake intact in the first 1,000 levels, and the third tier of the event is nearly impossible (if not outright impossible in some cases).

After level 1,000, this is how I assess the difficulties - 2,000 orange candies: doable within 45 minutes, still pretty difficult. 2,500 orange candies: very difficult within 45 minutes. 2,800 orange candies: don't bother unless you have wicked skills or are willing to settle for lesser prizes

EDIT: Shortly after I wrote this, I saw that HM100 had slightly nerfed prizes but twice the time limit for the first piece of cake in the 2,000 orange candies tier. I don't know what the later tiers look like, and I don't know if this has rolled out to everyone yet.

EDIT 2: 2,000 orange candies and 2,500 orange candies both give 1 hour and 30 minutes for the best prize, which is slightly nerfed in both tiers. 2,800 orange candies gives only 45 minutes for the best prize. Notably, the prizes weren't nerfed in that tier.
