sorry if this is old news, but it’s the first time my chocolate box options have included “in new level wins”
I really don’t like this development (considering that some of the week some of us don’t have new levels to win…)

I guess King is finally experimenting with bringing my previous recent idea to reality: New style Silver and Gold boxes where you can collect colors on old levels
I saw it too. Interestingly, the only color collection task that allowed old levels I have seen was also collecting purple. It came up in both of my games, but only once. I fill a lot of boxes, so it seems to be rare.
The tasks for the first two chocolates in this week's boxes are to collect specials, combinations of specials, and colors on old (purple) or new levels. The third and fourth chocolates are a mixture of everything: colors in new level wins, 'use booster' tasks, and all the tasks typical of the fourth chocolate.
I suppose you can. It didn't say "new level wins". As long as you win a level, regardless of new or old, the candies collected should be counted. Previously, the candies collected were counted even if you lose the level.
Even though this isn't my area of responsibility, I've been following the thread closely. Today I had this experience:

The pins now has a pin collection that once completed gives you either 10 or 15 mins of free switch (My account has the latter while a fresh profile I've started for the chocolate box had the former). Should you manage to get it in time, you can finish the task in time.
This scenario occurred again after two weeks of not happing it today, stuck on 19 First Try Wins and have no levels until Wednesday. On monday, I'll restart from Classic.
Learned some tips myself. The amount of levels you replay might not affect which chocolate box style will be used if you had activity before still (Noticed while closing a box with CB+CB). It might be that the Elite version is not available to accounts who are in the very lower ranges (My fresh profile I made for a days went up to 290) meaning the days where the Elite Boxes appear might not align with the days where the Elite Races appear (Mostly on weekends).
Also it goes unknown how users who had a lot of activity but after reaching to the top of the map (Like me in November) and halting activity to new levels altogether as a result stop receiving the new chocolate box style as mine wasn't noticed until Monday where the box expired due to the fact that on a Wednesday that I've finished out the levels got stuck on a new style box at Red in new level wins (At that time you hadn't S+S, S+W, W+W, CB+S/W on a new style box)
I had a few good chocolate boxes where I did not need colours in new levels win than I got this.
The first 3 were new colour wins and this was the last choice.🙄Now I have to wait for the box to run out in 3days and start from the beginning again. Really annoying. When we had the friends challenge it was OK as you could sometimes get the 15mins of switches, but I do not have that event anymore so nothing I can do as I have only 1 switch in my inventory and not enough gold to buy 6 more, and even if I did it would be a waste as you only get 25 gold bars if you win the box, and I am positive 6 GB would cost more than that.🤔
This means that King hasn't found a good solution for the new chocolate box changes for players who play less and as a result those players (Including those at the top of the map) lose out the entire chocolate box changes instead of only the color tasks that require new level wins.
But there's a catch. If you don't rely on on New levels so often, you'll lose out the new chocolate box style (Say you played 60 levels yesterday and then 15 more today and you closed a box before you start out playing new levels again for instance). This was evidenced that the next box after the ones I've closed with CB Pregame booster (All done with old levels and timed ones) started with Orange Candies.
In other words, I don't like that you have to play a lot of new levels in each day in order to get the new style box (Playing the first 89 to get Chocolate Box is enough). This discounts accounts that are at the top of the map or have less 60 or less than this amount of levels left) as these won't be able to hand that style properly given the color tasks that require new level wins will be impossible if met while the player is nearing the top of the map. Some of the players (That are not nearing the end of the map) may not have enough time to play a lot of levels to enable the usage of new box style.
I think we might require a tutorial on how to get the New Style Box if you're not at the top of the map because we don't know how the game will decide if we'll see the old or new style boxes on our account (I only know that accounts without levels left will certainty get the old style). (Remembering the tutorials we've worte about other things like Leaderboard events and for certain confusing levels)
Its either what I've said or they can either blacklist you from the new chocolate box style or they give you the old version on days where the Elite Chocolate Box is about to appear but the account is not yet ready for the elite version yet. So in other words, the Chocolate Box is not a stable event (I mean that it is constantly changing its version given) for accounts with lots of levels yet (More than 60) as they can be occasionally switched between the old and new style boxes. This issue wasn't seen while my main account had new levels left as I've played twice per day many levels.
Has this issue appeared in your account or not? If not, then try to play a few levels like 60 levels, keep the box into a task that requires new levels (Be the Red Collection in new levels in the second task for Instance). Take an almost full day break (Say 20 hours after last play) and finish the box, then you may see the old ones
Only this way I managed to see again the new style boxes. And I closed a Gold Box without doing a color in new level wins task (One with Striped, W+W, CB+S/W, Boosters and another with W+W, Colorbomb, S+S, CB+CB)
Start a new profile and play right away many levels if your current ones is at the top of the map. You will surely get the new Chocolate Box style. For Bronze Box, I've got a task which was offered to all levels in the past in the old style (Jelly Fish Collection). In the ending level sequence, the jelly fish icon jumping on the Jelly Fish icon is strangely the old ones with three fish and not the single fish icon.
You also get the option to Clear Jelly, Liquorice and Frosting (In any level). But Bronze boxes no longer require you to finish the level in order to complete the color tasks. On the Silver Box, I did got S&W task, and pregame booster tasks. Overall, the Classic Box is the only ones which doesn't differ between the old and new style boxes (Tasks I've got were Free Switch, Lollipop, 1st Try Win and 80 Orange). Level 4 is great for CB+CB combo too. For S&W, you can try Level 23.
I guess blocker and jelly clearance has came again but now all in a single task and only for Bronze Boxes.
That's all for the new style boxes at the moment. Probably a variant of the new boxes where Color Tasks don't require new levels could be applied for accounts who are at the top of the map.
Change task to see if you can get one that works with old levels. Anyways, after the reset I bet you'll get an old style box, starting from Classic. The box style you get depends on your weekly contest performance. I can't get the new style due to only 60 points per week.
these are ridiculous! I cant beat this cause I’ve been stuck on the same level for 6 days now and now have to wait for it to reset all to have it happen again
In my approving post on your thread, I have mentioned about a level which is under level 4000 and it could finish this task by playing it twice. But I remember you have said some levels you could get around 800 strips
9563 is also a good level if you're above the 9000s. I use that for special candy tasks (Plus Orange).

Great! I really like it when I manage to fill the box just by playing old levels. I'm also having fun filling chocolate boxes, and I came to like the new box (I am typing this very quietly, as advised by Carol-38).
For stripes, I also used 1766 and 3655, but I don't like either of them. I don't know a really good level for stripes below level 4000.
The box I just played was also a good one:
1st chocolate: 55 colour bombs
2nd chocolate: 180 wraps
3rd chocolate: 480 striped (this took me the longest since I used level 1000. I can't think of a faster level pre level 4000 yet, unfortunately.)
4th chocolate: CB + CB combo
Playing these chocolate boxes is actually fun and reminds me of the days when we were playing cascade levels to fill sugar drops into jars. I now have to wait 24 hours to play another but I don't mind that at all.
I wonder how long before they get rid of these fun choc boxes.
