Why are some ads not closing so that you can can collect boosters?

Agreed to all - But these are ones where I saw a countdown for the 30 seconds. And then would count for at lease 30 seconds after that and they wouldn't go away. Not that I want to watch a 2+ minute ad anyway!!!!
I am talking about when the ad is done and the close x appears in the upper right corner. When I hit it it opens the App Store
Opening the app store is similar to the issue of an advert opening its own website when you press the X @mec08857. When this happens there isn't a lot a player can do about it as we can't control anything the advert does after pressing the X. I went through a phase of not watching any adverts when I started or failed a level and didn't watch any for extra gold either. I also reported adverts that caused issues to King and in-game. Obviously this doesn't stop the issue, but it made me feel less annoyed by the adverts if I only lost a booster instead of a life and gold.
One thing I have noticed with some adverts is that the X appears before the advert has finished. With some adverts trying waiting thirty seconds after the X appears before you press it and see what happens then.

Hi! I know you often can’t close the ads or have the option if you haven’t watched it. I am talking about when the ad is done and the close x appears in the upper right corner. When I hit it it opens the App Store. I then have to click “done” and try the x again. This can go on and on. Sometimes I just give up and close the game entirely to make it stop.
Some adverts don't have an X button as soon as they start playing. Is this what you mean by adverts not closing @mec08857?
Alternatively some adverts freeze your device meaning you can't close the advert or operate your phone. Is this what you mean.
Lastly some adverts don't close but open a website instead of going back to the game. Is this what you mean.
