I have noticed today that game hints have become simplified and follow a strict hierarchy. This must be a new change as I am sure I would have noticed this before. It seems to be so in all of my games.
The pattern the hints follow is:
- a combo of two special candies
- firing off a special candy
- creating a special candy
- some other move, usually near the bottom of the board
This strict order of priority means that the hints are no longer useful because they will not show the best available move. Hints have lost their "intelligence" and are now brainless and provide no help at all. In my experience creating more special candies should always take priority over blowing up a special candy. Hints are programmed to advise the opposite now and players are being told to blow up any special candy into nowhereland.
One example is the board below.
The game now hints the player to make the orange match with the striped candy, which quite obviously is completely pointless.
What is going on with this game? Is there anything left they can do to make it any worse?
