This is my plea to stop the deliberate inclusion of certain features in the game, which quite frankly take advantage of any player who:
- plays in a rush
- is distracted and not paying attention to their game
- has difficulties understanding complex language or lacks good English skills (many players in Asia play in English but it is not their first language)
- or anyone who is not that bright. (let's face it: Candy Crush 2026 can in essence be played by a pre school child, it's that simple a game now in its nature)
The game should stop including features that will deliberately catch out such players.
@QueenB Please could you feed this to those in charge of game design. What I mean is the two features mentioned in these two posts:
The plea from T0rr1e relates to the fact that we have to be so careful to not accidentally click on these green buttons if we are in a rush. There is never any way to take back an accidental purchase with gold bars and no confirmation is required.
The post by Deal_One shows that even a long standing player with good English skills can mistakenly click on one of these offers and then think that what is in fact a "payment" is a "reward". Why? Well, because these tabs are green and have the gold bars symbol, and because the wording is just not clear enough!
If this pops up out of context, what does it mean to anyone?
There have been complaints about these green tabs for years and about the fact that they do not require confirmation. There have also been numerous complaints in this community about gold bars going missing from accounts for unknown reasons. The two are probably related. Players click on them and don't even notice it.
I find the very fact that there is a gold bar symbol on top of a green button misleading. It is designed to make inexperienced players think this is the button they should click on. It is an outrageously nasty trick employed by this game.
The time has come for the game designers to rethink this feature because:
This game is turning into a speed race. The emphasis is on speeding through the episodes before the timed boosters run out, before time on the Delicious Dash feature runs out, before time runs out on events such as Factory Frenzy. There is no longer any need to concentrate much on our games: We can bash our way through levels very quickly now without much thought or attention to the game. Therefore the continued inclusion of these green tabs that will swallow our gold bars if we mistakenly click on them are a sign that King prey on unwitting players. We all know that once our gold is gone we need to spend money to keep playing. The continued bombardment of players by these green buttons is therefore an unethical business practice.
Please get rid of it!
End of plea.
