The initial leveling experience is just garbage now

1-66 is fine 66-200 is just just getting kicked right in the nuggets by a guy wearing a spiked iron boot.

It is shocking how much of a grind it is. I mean I get you wanted to make all level ranges similar due to All Stars but how about you make the min level to complete 200 so new players do not get screwed over.

Ya I was hoping that outside of a season event/crappilepoopstorm the game would be a little less… well aholish. It seemed slightly better but still shocking.

Dunno if you noticed but it seems the 30 min boosters effectively = 3 boosters now as far as anything approaching useful effects.

Levels 66-200 are hell and have been hell for months. I think King do not care about the drop-out rate any more. I think the idea behind these levels must be to educate and breed a set of new players who will spend their gold to pay for extra moves and who will spend their boosters to advance in the game. This is a whole new type of player and I am convinced that King want anyone else out of this game and it's good-bye to anyone who wants to play this game for free all the way up into the higher levels.

On the other hand:

These levels are so difficult because there is no win streak. The difficulty labels are not being updated and they have not been updated since King removed the win streak from these levels. So maybe it could be an oversight. The one level that makes it clear that no one has reviewed the early levels since the win streak was removed is level 65:

This level cannot be failed if you follow the game hints or if you strike the three coconut wheels in sequence but it is rated "hard". I believe that rating still stems from the days when the win streak was introduced this early and win streak boosters actually do break this mechanism making the level harder.

Because of all this:

My advice now has boiled down to this: To play Candy Crush from scratch: Play the game up to level 66, at which point you should have enough gold to buy 6 hours indefinite lives. Then use this time to play the unrated levels normally and replay any hard+ level 6-10 times by quitting immediately until the game gives you a lucky board. This is not exactly how King would want us to play this game, but that is definitely a method to get to level 201, when the win streak and the super charger end this grind and make the game fun. I still find levels 201 - 400 fun and enjoyable and you can make hundreds of gold bars at that point.
