👀 Quick check: would this message make sense to you?

Hey everyone 👋

It has come to our attention that since the Events tab is no longer available for everyone, it’s not always clear where to find events on the Saga map.

Because of that, we’re testing a loading message idea, and we’d love your honest thoughts before anything goes into the game.

The message would say: “Events moved here!”and point towards the icons on the Saga map like this:

The goal would be to help players understand where events are now, without having to guess or hunt around.

We’d really like to know:

• If you saw this message, would it be clear what it means?
• Would you understand where to find events after seeing it?
• Or would it still feel confusing or easy to miss?

🔄 Update - We’re Testing Another Version

Based on your comments about clarity and whether the message is strong enough, we’re also exploring another variation.

Instead of “Events moved here!”, the alternative version would say: “Don’t forget your widgets!”

We’d love to hear how this version feels compared to the first one above.

Does it make things clearer?
Or does it still leave the same questions?

I liked seeing the events tab on the bottom of the screen made it easier to find it

It is getting more and more confusing now to find stuff. It was very easy before. Why change what worked? We don’t need all this updates, the level themselves are copy and paste, and map is getting updated every week and getting worse. You took away hand booster from both, the wheel and cinema. Why?

A tab was nice but the widget works too, I used both. Just bring it back one way or the other. I quit playing until this is fixed. I won the weekly contest last week and received no rewards. Also bring back the hand.

Hi Queen B. Thank you for you hard work on this. I think most of the widgets are self explanatory just too many of them! The main problem is the missing ones especially the Weekly Contest which has completely vanished and customer support are unable to put it back. The events tab was much clearer, less cluttered and events didn’t disappear

All in all, I'm fine with the removal of Events Tab but not when we can't see the status of important events from the Map (Like Weekly Contest)

If possible, can at least users at the end of the map have the events tab temporarily while Weekly Contest lacks a widget on the map since the rollback of the new widgets board UI that had the Weekly Contest widget. I'm sick of not seeing its status since I will be again without levels for another week and I will surely be dropped from whatever position I would be now to third or even fourth.

Sorry @QueenB but I actually would have no idea what that message meant.

And I too feel that the widgets are a nuisance, I seem to either click on the wrong one to check progress, or click on one accidentally. The Events tab is so much better and neater, and way more user-friendly.

If the Studio really want to clutter up the board, they could just add a scroll down button.

@QueenB I think the widgets are okay but they take up time when you have timed boosters. I still have the events tab and I still check that to.

Personally, I would not like to see another pop-up before the game launches. I agree that it is not often clear what a given widget represents, but I know I can tap on it to see what it is. If I need a reminder, I can tap a widget whenever I want, rather than watch a repetitive pop-up. Players already complain about not being able to opt out of some events that pop-up (e.g., Candy Royale), so I suspect they would not want to see one that presents information over and over.

I might not like how cluttered the map is getting with all the widgets, but they don't annoy me like a repetitive pop-up would, especially if it was FYI only. And I do like the widgets that show my "rank" and a timer for events, even though I might not participate.

I appreciate the creative solution offered, but I don't want to be required to watch another pop-up in my game. Perhaps the information could be made available when a player taps on the "Events" tab.

Strange thing happened yesterday. The Widgets on the map for events that have a reward to be claimed at the bottom no longer have a Claim tag above it but still turn yellow and Weekly Contest has no widget on the map making players without the events tab impossible to look into its status if the player has no more levels to do and does all the new levels under Windows, unless the player reaches on this week at the top 3 when the current week ends (Which should pop up after playing a level)

I am very Confused. Which development team in King is CORRECT?

In Candy Crush, there have been a few events only a long time which they are widgets on map and specific icon inside the Event tab at the same time. Now they want to make every event to be a widget and then cancel the Event tab at the bottom. They keep saying this change can help players access to different events easily and faster than before.

In Candy Crush Soda, they have introduced a navigation bar at the bottom of map last year finally, like Candy Crush. And then ALL EVENTS WIDGETS have been deleted from map, all events are grouped into the new Event tab. The official announcement for this change is also aim to make every event clear in one place. Easy, clear and fast access to different events.

These two games are belonging to same company.

I am so confused 🤔

Thanks for tagging me @kiara_wael! I am more confused by that image that I wouldn't even know where to look. I just did a print screen of my game (below).

I still have my Events tab but I also had noticed that the Booster Wheel was added directly on the map. I just looked in the Events tab and it's still showing there but when I open the game I automatically click on Booster Wheel on the map.

I totally agree with @Carol-38 and I love her idea of the text in the middle and arrows pointing on the map. Super idea!

At 20, since it is otherwise not used for anything, have a short event pop up that introduces the player to the event widget. Also push the piggy bank back to 25 so that the concept is there before the first current widget.

Can't use 11 since you have the pot of gold and currently the piggy bank and you don't want to different concepts hitting the user at the same time, it screen popup and widget pointy finger and click.

I am afraid I don't think this would help make things clearer. If someone can't understand that the widgets are there to be clicked on then they would be unlikely to understand this message either. One of the problems with the widgets is that they don't make it clear what's sitting behind them. The factory frenzy and weekly contest widgets look pretty similar for example and it took me a while to recognise which widget stands for which event. I also think having this on the loading screen would not do much since most players don't pay any attention to the screen at that point.

No @galaxyangel when everything was in the Events tab at the bottom of our maps, that was good, because everything was tidy and together. They are now putting everything individually, so lots and lots of Widgets sitting all over our maps 🙄

If so I don't think what you have shown is clear enough. Needs to be a proper map, similar to what you have shown but more like ⬇️

But could you please pass back to the Studio, Widgets are not good. It would be best if we could just have a tidy map, with an Events at the bottom with everything in, like it used to be 🤞 But I guess that's another bit of feedback that will be ignored 😣
