Even though all tasks are new levels only, if the studio doesn't change your fun levels to other versions.
At least you can enjoy them whenever you want🤞
Actually coming to the end of February I am already thinking the game can't get any worse.
So now we have come to the point, with the latest chocolate boxes that require new level wins, and the new season pass, the point at which players who are stuck on a level have no longer the choice to get the boosters needed to pas the level they are stuck on without paying. So the only choices left now are to give up playing, pause playing for weeks, or to spend money.
The option to scroll back to old levels for any purpose no longer exists. Unfortunately even for those of us who are not stuck this takes the joy out of playing, because believe it or not some players enjoy going back to already played levels to earn a few boosters or some gold, because some of those levels are fun to play and we used to enjoy playing old levels to stock up on goodies.
The drive to make everything in the game new levels only has sucked the last drop of fun out of this game.
We also cannot help anyone in this community any more either @MountainMom . You might have noticed that every player stuck on any level is stuck on a Meltdown level. Those impossible levels have no solution and we have nothing left to advise them. This is a no win situation. People come here for help and none of us can help them. So we might as well all pack up now and find something better to do than waste our time here.
No, this game really cannot be ruined any further. It's impossible to enjoy. Full stop.
Off topic a bit but you still have the crowns/gold for first try wins, that is gone for the games I have started up recently. Do not like it
You can work with Season Pass/Season before Star Tournament expires, that's it.
Also Bakers Box is always set to end at Friday 10:00 CET so you still have plentiful of time to finish it once new levels come in (If you don't play them on Windows) or when you finish them all and play again the Star Tournament (If you finish them on Windows)
The new Seasons Pass thing is particularly infuriating if you're at the end of the game. Currently the Star Tournament is over, the chocolate box wants me to pass 18 levels on the first go (thanks), and the Baker's Box is slowly expiring. Normally I'd just work through the Seasons Pass while we wait for new levels; now there is absolutely nothing I can do.
The first one is caused by the rollback of the Widgets UI back to an older version. This also caused other side effects like widgets for events that have a reward to be claimed to not have a claim tag above it.
Unfortunately the widget for the weekly contest is not present with the old Widget UI on the map and requires the newer ones. I know because when the new ones was first introduced, the Weekly Contest widget was there but when it was rollbacked, that widget went dark until the new ones was introduced one more (In the old ones, widgets for events that have a reward to be claimed never have a Claim tag, unlike the new ones)
New suggestions:
Remove the widget for the weekly race so we can't see our progress compared to the other players.
Reduce the reward for watching an ad to a ridiculous amount, such as one single move?
And of course this one: Introduce multiplier tokens to be used at will during All Stars so that the event will essentially be a lottery by nature, though not by law.
So many possibilities I hadn't thought of…..
Anyone still here or have you all left and abandoned the sinking ship?
They could also be removing timed Brush and Free Switch (Non-timed available still) from Weekly Contest rewards (Including Podium Prize). This happened today.
Strangely, the first position now rewards 2 UFO instead of 1. 3 Lollipop have been added too and only 4 Colorbomb are given instead of 15,
I wish I remembered more about how that went down. I know I’d played it many times at that point because the initial 10gb was for a large amount of moves like over 50. The top part of the board had many opportunities to make strong-ish combos and so it seemed deceptively easy for a legendary level. I have no strong boosters, just a handful of hammers I get from playing sweet cinema every day and a bit of gold from winning episodes and chocolate box (typically I play with about 100 gold bars), I’m broke af but somehow manage an episode per day. And I’ve never paid a dime.
Regardless the 2 order blocks in the bottom corners with a “2” in each was a bummer. I was glad to be done with that level on the next go, and was careful to count chocolate. I’ll be interested if anyone has a similar experience.
King has not been helpful in the past so I avoid contacting them as it seems like an exercise in frustration.
Oh thank you for pointing this out. A chocolate order level written by the AI? That really surprises me. I gave up playing at 20,000 because I believed there would never be any more interesting levels like that. Thanks for the heads up.
Actually looking at the YouTube video I am a bit disappointed. It looks like the usual rubbish with order locks and probably it was unintentional to make it possible to not have enough chocolate to open the last. Normal play wouldn't create this kind of problem, you must have played a strong booster such as a party popper maybe. The 27 for the order are on the board, you just need five more to open one of the order locks. You were very unlucky to not have that much growth. Perhaps if you complain to King about it they might change the order lock down or add a layer of chocolate. I'm sure it wasn't their intention to catch players out with this one.
@christinewupp I thought of you today and your third point re chocolate when I got busted by said chocolate :0 I wasn’t paying enough attention to the surprise and wasn’t counting the chocolate At.All. It cost me 20GB and some embarrassment for sure.
Level 20809 (Legendary) was the culprit. When I realised there was no chocolate left to multiply but the game required more to complete the level (in hidden boxes in the very bottom corners) I was a bit mortified having to play out a game I’d just wasted gold on but couldn’t win. Sigh.
So heads up the chocolate is alive and well and hanging out where it’s not expected. Ouch.
Also, on my account I do not have the Events tab on Android and the season tab is present but on Windows, the events tab is strangely still present.

Given what QueenB has actually said there is still hope that maybe King will actually listen for once and support what their customers want
I still think it is a good sign that I got my Calendar and old Season Pass back
Whilst QueenB is very good at what she does we have past experience of CMs providing information that turned out not to be accurate.
Adverts not being deliberately removed being one such example.
I just hope that people with the new Season Pass do what I did and stop playing at the weekend. This is the best feedback to give to King.
Sorry @Alienscar but judging by QueenB's reply to me below it's a foregone conclusion that eventually the events tab will be gone for everyone.

The Events tab is being phased out, and instead events are gradually being placed directly on the map as their own icons. This version is being rolled out step by step, which is why not everyone sees the same setup yet.
The idea behind this change is to make events more visible and easier to jump into without opening a separate tab, but we also know that for some players it feels more cluttered and harder to get a clear overview. That feedback, including missing the Events tab as a single place, has been shared already.
I’ll make sure the comments here about visibility, organisation, and what players expected instead are passed on as well. Please keep calling out what works and what doesn’t, it really helps when we can point to concrete examples like this.
It’s a nightmare indeed @Nobody1 Nevermind that all of my saved switches “disappeared” recently. I passed 20,000 just before xmas and took a break for about 10 days over the holidays. When I logged back in, all my boosters EXCEPT the pink wheel were gone. I know TPTB say boosters are saved to devices but if that were the case then my boosters (around 600-700 hammers and hands each in my last screenshot just before I logged out) would not have vanished. Funny that I was left with about 3000 pink wheel however. Make it make sense. (There’s no way to make that make sense j/s)
Undoubtedly not just you @christinewupp but just your groups turn.
You and a lot of other people didn't see this change back in Oct 2025 when me and a lot of other people first received it.
I could be wrong but I see it as a good sign that I have lost this feature whilst you have received it. If I had kept this feature whilst you had received it I would be concerned that it was being rolled out to everyone.
I have this change in all four accounts now @Alienscar. After reading your comment I opened my Cornflower account. First login I still had the events tab and the normal opening page. I closed the app and reopened, on my second login the Meltdown logo loaded and then the new season pass that replaces the event tab. This cannot just be me? All four of my accounts are seeing this!
That's hardly a new change. This was introduced exactly one year ago, at the beginning of 2025. This thread is meant to be about what can still be made worse in 2026.
I have it in three accounts suddenly starting today, after making the update. This lead me to believe it must now be universal to all players as from today.

As above @christinewupp the New Season Pass that replaces the Events tab doesn't seem to be permanent for all as I got my Events and Season Pass back
how about make weekly races even for all players?? players in higher levels should NOT be playing against lower level players. I'm on level 20635 but I'm racing against someone on level 114, this player passed 83 levels in one day, I'm lucky if I pass five levels. Last week, I lost against someone who passed over 500 level, while I was stuck on one level for two days… It should go back to us playing against our friend's group

There is a lot of off topic stuff in there but I have counted 33 different players complaining about the missing events tab. Is this now a permanent change for all? WHY?
Does it work with Star Tournament or those players are out of the new Season Pass. Otherwise, the new Season Pass will be unachievable without new levels on the map (Or in the next case the new ones won't appear on accounts without levels)

There are no longer any levels which require players to actively allow chocolate to grow. Some of the levels where chocolate is used as a blocker have had chocolate replaced by frosting (e.g. level 8105). I believe this is because the ability of chocolate to grow makes it too hard for the programme to control level outcome.

Is chocolate being erased? I thought they had just moved it to higher levels. I'm around level 10000 and I still see it often.
Even if I do rack my brain and think of something, I wouldn't post it @christinewupp King would be clapping their hands that we'd put something they hadn't thought of.
Aah if that's the case, I would like to say wouldn't it be awful if they put Don't feed the Annoying Troll back to playing any level. And wouldn't it be awful if we got a map scroll down feature 🤣

Number 1 is already in the testing phase @christinewupp I had the new levels only Season Pass for two months. Other people are getting it now, so look out
2. There have been complaints about the number of lives sent/not sent since the friends feature was first introduced to Facebook years ago. There is an ongoing class-action regarding missing lives that was started in 2015. Doesn't matter if AI is involved or not, King will always control the number of lives sent/received.
They could take away the hand/switch reward in sweet cinema and change it to 10/16 opportunities to get a reward instead of 12/16. Oh wait that just happened 😑
