Audio issues - Can't listen to music while playing - Edited by CM: FIXED!

This issue should now be fixed ✅
A new game version has been released on iOS and Android (Google Play) with the fix: 1.321.3.1.

Please head to the App Store / Google Play and update Candy Crush (you may need to refresh the store, and it can take a little time to show for everyone).

If you’re still having the background audio issue after updating to 1.321.3.1, reply here and we’ll take a look.

Quick update: we’ve identified what’s causing the background audio issue and a fix is being prepared. We’re very close to getting this resolved.

I can’t share an exact release time until it’s fully rolled out, but I’ll post another update on Monday once we can confirm it’s live.

For now, there’s nothing you need to do on your side and no need to reinstall the game. Thanks a lot for your patience, and for reporting it 🙏

Just to avoid any confusion: the info being referenced here is from an older issue a couple of years ago, so it doesn’t apply to what’s happening right now. (I've archived that particular post to avoid further confusions).

We’ve now reported the current issue (music/podcasts stopping while playing) and the studio is looking into it. We’re hoping to have this resolved as soon as possible.

For now there isn’t anything you can do on your side, and please don’t reinstall the game as it won’t fix this issue (and could risk progress if you’re not connected).

Thanks for your patience and we’ll update this thread when we have more to share!

I appreciate the detailed description, that really helps. I’ll pass this on to the team to check whether anything has recently changed on our side that could be affecting background audio behavior.

It’s also possible that an update from Android or one of the audio apps (like Audible or your music app) may be influencing how the sound focus is handled, but we’ll take a look from our end as well.

In the meantime, please keep an eye out for any upcoming game updates, just in case a fix rolls out. If you notice any pattern (for example, it only happens with a specific app), feel free to let us know.

When I play Candy Crush, it stops the music I'm listening to on the France Inter app.

All the sounds are muted in Candy Crush, though.

about 3 days ago I lost the ability to listen to audio books while playing Candy crush. It’s driving me insane because I always play music or listen to books while playing. Now whenever I open the app my audio immediately ends. Are you able to fix this?

Hello Candy Crush Support Team,

Since updating to iOS 26.3 on my iPhone 17, my Spotify and Audible audio stops completely every time I open Candy Crush Saga. The audio indicator disappears, and playback pauses immediately, even when game music and sound effects are turned off.
This issue did not happen before and seems related to the game taking exclusive audio control.

Please advise if there is a fix or if an update is planned to resolve this issue.

I’m having the same problem.
If you delete the game and reinstall you most definitely will loss all your boosters and gold.

CCS will eventually fix it, unfortunately the last time this happened it took months

My Samsung mobile has the above-mentioned issue, I need to press 'play' again after opening the game, yet, the music stops again when press 'x' after viewing an ad to back to the game, so annoying!

Tried to uninstall and reinstall & checked any way of the audio settings, yet no use at all, the worst is that all the received lives and boosters are lost after reinstalling, really frustrated.

Pls fix it, thx!
