Here I go again with all new players just starting the game. I wish they would group me with players near my level. I ended up in 7th place in the last weekly contest because I am still stuck on level 9512.

Thanks for confirming this. I think you are probably stuck on a level that does not allow players to pass without boosters. Most of these boards get players close enough so a UFO played about four moves from the end might clinch it. But now that Season Pass no longer gives us a UFO for playing old levels these impossible levels become pay to pass I guess. King should show you some kindness and give you the timed UFO in the daily spin but that never seems to come up at all I think. This game is so mean. They want more of your money!
@christinewupp You were right the players in the weekly contest aren’t really playing. But I am still stuck on level 9125. I hope to pass it soon so I can get back into competition.

As you played a lot less last week than you played the previous week I expect these opponents to not be anywhere near as strong as they were last week: Watch out for this and keep an eye on those opponents as the week moves on. The score needed to get into second or third place is probably not very high. Why can I predict this? Read my other posts for the answer.
Does it matter whether they are new players? Not at all. Watch them. How many of them gave up playing after a day or two?
