How long do you have to wait to get five lives when you have 25 minutes for one life?Your game is better for you if one person stays longer. You're waiting 125 minutes to get five lifelines.
Like a lot of things to do with King and Candy Crush @dinkan the wait for lives is an outdated idea.
If you search online you will find many articles on how Candy Crush is designed to be addictive. The game is designed around psychological mechanisms similar to those that make slot machines so dangerous.
The timed lives is supposed to stimulate a psychological effect due to artificial scarcity (or FOMO). The ultimate aim of this scarcity is to encourage people that are susceptible to this trigger to purchase lives using real money.
I am not a psychologist, but in my opinion this sort of manipulation isn't as effective as it was back in 2013. Nowadays, due to advances in technology, people are no longer prepared to wait for anything. The advent of TikTok, YouTube Shorts and the like indicate that people want instant and quick access to everything that they use.
Life recharge in Candy Crush Saga is every 30 minutes, not 25, checked it today.

I mixed it up with Candy Crush Soda Saga for a second there. My brain clearly jumped franchises.
