why am I playing players who have only just begun playing on level 25 etc, when I am on a much higher level, slightly unfair to win a tournament me feels 😩

The weekly contest is not a real tournament at all @KellyG17 . Those players you see do not see you in their games and are not themselves playing against you.
King choose opponents from a set pool in a manner that will match our own games. So if you are yourself a brand new player, or someone who has not played for weeks, you are usually given opponents who stopped playing before reaching even level 60. If you are a player who crushed hundreds of levels the week before then you will be assigned others who crushed hundreds of levels. Players mid way between these two extremes often see one or two others in their weekly race who are almost impossible to catch, but usually it's possible for us to reach the third podium place. At weekends you'll be given double points, so playing at weekends can help you catch up.
Basically this is a fake event with fake opponents.

Anyone else have an issue with the booster wheel not letting you spin? Mine says come back in xxx hours for the next spin, but the next spin never comes. I am so stuck on level 7280 and I need some booster help!!
