I haven't seen anyone else post about this but at some time this evening I got 2 hand swaps back…

…and back up to 12/16 rewards (up from 10/16) in sweet cinema! I can't be the only one. So our cruel overlords had a change of heart and actually listened and reversed course?? This makes me unreasonably happy. Thanks King 🙏

Well that is the thing with King @myname_wastaken, there are no certainties. Whilst the new Chocolate Box changes show how King can move features around one group to another this doesn't mean they always do this with every feature. Fingers crossed this time they have actually stopped testing the Sweet Cinema and for now everyone is keeping the two Switch version.

By train, I guess I mean teach. It is a well known fact that King design Candy Crush around psychological triggers such as near-misses and variable rewards. Therefore when you use a Switch to bring two Colour Bombs together (as an example) it is probably not an accident that the Bombs were only one candy apart in the first place. By doing this repeatedly and providing you with Switches King is effectively training you to be dependent on the Switches as part of your game play. When they take the Switches away in a test some people will automatically think they can no longer play their game and be tempted to purchase Switches to continue playing the game in the manner they have become accustomed to.

Yes I have to agree. I think I was overly zealous in my excitement, finally copping a break from the sheer insanity of the past month. It's rough knowing that my good fortune likely means someone else's dismay. I'm feeling a tad sheepish now.

It's uncanny and I feel strongly that this is how the game should work.

I don't think it is as simple as that @myname_wastaken as far too many people play without any advert features at all.

I think King 'train' us to play the game in a particular style that suits the features that we have been provided. When they then change those features we feel like the game has changed into something different. I would guess they are trying to tempt us into buying back our old version of the game.

I have currently got 3923 gold bars, but to be honest I am playing less and less lately as the game is just becoming too obvious in its gold stealing ways. That is, the five/six levels at the end of an Episode, including the current Meltdown shenanigans, are too obviously designed to require extra moves to complete them and it is just tedious to play that way.

I hear you @Alienscar. It's been a month of losing all my progress, boosters, even my resilience. It all felt quite demoralizing. I sincerely hope it doesn't happen to you especially if you're like me and don't have a cache of gold bars (I got down to 11 bars today). Sweet Cinema has been all but useless and now it's working like it used to, with short adverts and always available to play. It's uncanny and I feel strongly that this is how the game should work. There's no benefit to King whatsoever to give us punishing changes. Who does that bring joy to? Why even develop a game that's impossible that just angers people so they quit. Sorry, I know I'm preaching to the choir but a game should never feel like a punishment. My very best wishes that you retain your switches and that cinema improves for you.

Well I have written a few times that I never lost my 12/16 and two Switch version of the Cinema @myname_wastaken so I guess I am worried now that you have got yours back it will be my turn for the no Switch version.

Though I never lost the 12/16 version it's functionality changed. It used to be that I could watch advert after advert, but now I watch one or two adverts and the widget disappears and I get the 'more adverts soon' message. I then have to play a level or two (old or new) before the Cinema works again.
