Long-time Candy Crush player hoping for help after losing gold bars

Hi! I'm writing this because I've been an avid Candy Crush player and I truly love the game. I love collecting gold bars through episode races, chocolate boxes, and candy royale. I've spent a lot of time (and quite a bit of money) on the game, and I'm currently at level 3786. Today I was participating in candy royale and ended up spending around 500 gold bars that I had worked really hard to collect. My gold bar collection is now completely depleted. I know sometimes these things happen in games, but losing that many gold bars at once was honestly pretty discouraging and made me feel defeated after investing so much time into collecting them. Does anyone have any advice for this situation? I would appreciate any comments/help. I love this game by the way, and I've spent countless hours enjoying it.

I’m confused. Did the 500 bars ‘disappear’ or do you use them?

Hello @droyaee I am very concerned that you spent so much gold in order to gain so little.

You are right that the game can be fun to play but you must be careful to understand that this game is so manipulative: Events like Candy Royale are a clever illusion that is trying to get players to spend money to win. You are playing against recordings of other players, specially picked by the game for you to make you spend gold and money trying to beat them.

Players who do spend real money on offers in the game will often see their games get harder as the app is trying to get them to spend more and more money. There are ways out of this vicious circle and get back to enjoying the game though.

Hi Droyaee. I'm a little confused with your "spending" 500 gold bars while in a candy royale. Normally the CR only pays out a minimal amount of gold if you win so it's really never worth it to try to complete at all costs. Also, were you at a 25 level CR? Most of the time they are at like 12 so I don't get how you spent 500 gold.
