I no longer receive extra power-ups after watching ads at the end of the game. This stopped happening the moment I purchased a paid power-up. Why?

I'm sorry you are not seeing ads at the end of your levels. Other players report a similar correlation — no more ads after making a purchase.
Unfortunately, video ads for extra moves or rewards are not available for all players or all accounts. Tests are done with different players across different King games to ensure the best player experience. Since these test groups are totally random and change, you will probably get ads at some time in your game. They’re turned on automatically only when available for your device and account, and there isn’t a way to enable them manually.
A few things to know:
If ads are available for you, they’ll appear automatically. If not, they’re just not active for your account right now.

Unable to purchase
Anyone else have an issue with the booster wheel not letting you spin? Mine says come back in xxx hours for the next spin, but the next spin never comes. I am so stuck on level 7280 and I need some booster help!!
