We had one of those weeks where conversations stayed short and everyone just did their part and left. Nothing was wrong on the surface, but the energy felt off, like something needed to shift.
So we ordered a new game from Copper Clues since we had finished Sudoku Noir earlier. This time it was Mission Scribbles. None of us really knew what to expect, and it felt a bit random at first.
The game began quietly. People were unsure, a little hesitant. Then one round changed everything. A clue got performed in the most confusing way possible, and the drawings made even less sense. One looked like a broken ladder trying to run. Another looked like some kind of animal no one could explain. When the answer came out, the whole room just cracked.
After that, everyone leaned in. People started overacting and exaggerating every movement, arguing over drawings like they actually meant something. Someone even tried to defend a sketch that looked nothing like the clue but somehow convinced two others.
At some point, a drink tipped over and a couple of pages got smudbled. Instead of stopping, people just laughed harder and kept going.
By the end, the mood had completely shifted. Conversations felt easy again, jokes came naturally, and the earlier awkwardness had disappeared. Mission Scribbles just gave us a way to drop our guard without even realizing it.
