Hi guys.
Congratulations to everyone who passed the first three rounds of All Stars to qualify for the three Final Knockout rounds!
Before you spend any money please consider this.
Before you spend long hours day and night please, please do also read this.
Winning All Stars requires all three:
- Skill (be able to play fast enough)
- Strategy ( e.g. keeping all your tokens for the final knockout rounds)
- Luck (beating many, many others who have as much skill and use as good a strategy as yourself)
No amount of money can guarantee a place in the finals because so much luck is involved.
However not having the skill will guarantee failure.
So check if you do have the skill.
It's easy to know:
Anyone who cannot crush at a speed of two episodes per hour is unlikely to get past the next two rounds. To stand a chance in the last round you will need to crush each episode in 15-20 minutes. Time yourself to see if you can achieve this.
Then work out the cost in gold it would take for you to crush as many episodes as you can for the full 24 hours in the final round. You will have to crush the entire 24 hours to stand a chance. (Example: If I manage four episodes an hour then for me that is 96 episodes, which is 1440 levels.)
The gold cost can then be calculated. We all play different strategies, so I cannot make that calculation for you, but it is likely to be enormous. So work it out for your own game and then decide if it's worth buying anything. Try to calculate: How many episodes can you crush in 24 hours? How much gold does each episode cost you at that speed? Multiply these numbers.
Don't be fooled by the opponents you saw on your leaderboards in the first three rounds. They were bespoke players especially selected for you to match your abilities.
The app helped you get to the final knockout rounds by the selection of players you saw in your game and by giving you multiplier tokens to use. If you don't have enough multiplier tokens now you cannot win All Stars because there are many players who do still have all their tokens.
There are at least a million players still in this competition.
If after all this you think you are in with a chance and want to give it all you've got then set a budget and stick to it.
Good luck!

I have done some rough estimates of costs for my own game and these are posted in the comments part of this thread. There are also some tips on a method that I think could work to help players to get past the first final knockout round without spending a fortune, so it's worth reading on.

If you cannot compete to keep up with leaders of your leaderboard: Do NOT stay up all night round the clock to try to catch them. By my calculations any player who genuinely stands a chance to win the competition should be able to get past these rounds by crushing for eight hours per day.
If you find eight hours per day is not enough: Use a token!
If you don't have the time to crush for eight hours a day: Use a token!
That's what the tokens are for.
If you have no tokens left then believe me: If you cannot keep up by playing eight hours per day then no amount of crushing will help you win the competition. You might get to the next round, but you cannot win any money or a ticket to London. You just aren't good enough, please accept it and don't lose sleep over the next two rounds.
Do not spend sleepless nights or waste your good money on a hopeless cause!
