It's a hat-trick! A bouquet of flowers in final knockout round 2 💐!

All four made it to the second final round. Only the main game managed to do so with all its tokens.

Everything I have speculated and everything I have advised here has proven to be correct. Evidence to follow somewhere else. But let me tell you this: We have been playing against the app in a big way.

I hope all my friends made it too with all their tokens.

I would just like to add - in case anyone thinks I'm greedy and having four accounts in the next round is unfair to other players - I will not deny anyone a place in round 3/3. All three accounts that used tokens are going into the next round to observe only.

I only have one potential account to compete with.

In all honesty @RogueSnape Right now that I've started playing the second final knockout round I don't know how to answer you. I think anyone can win this round if they play the right strategy: Don't play a token, play the first few levels real slow, don't rush, just observe. Then once the leaderboard is full give it your best shot. My best guess right at this moment is that the other players we see on our leaderboards are recordings controlled by a computer at King's headquarter. However I am confident that in the next round we will all be genuinely be playing against one another for the top prize. So do I think you have a chance to get to London with 4-5 multipliers? Probably not. Does it matter? It's all about playing and having fun, right? Just don't spend any money or stay up all night.

I don't think it makes much difference now if you start early or late.

Was it the same last year? Now that is something I'd really love to know. It didn't seem to be like this last year. But maybe it was? And it's just that it has become so obvious this year because of the AI running the game and the multiplier tokens? Was it like this last year and we just didn't notice?

Well, I'd better keep my gob shut now.

Anything is possible if King computers control the speed of our opponents @michimune . And I sure think they do.

I think you read my text wrongly or I typed something wrong because that’s crazy to get 15,000 an hour with no token even with a token or I need to talk to them with clarity reayou can get more than that but 15,000 an hour playing normally is close to impossible is what I think for me. I get an average of 8000.

For example:

A community member coming from Poland claims she can earn ~15,000 blue candies per hour. Therefore she could earn ⤵️

~495,000 blue candies by 2 tokens only in 24 hours.

Even though the ten finalists in last year could not get this score by All Six tokens easily.😂🤣

I’d like to share my experience with since the start of the Allstars.

I’m currently playing on 2 accounts (just testing things out).

First account:
At the beginning, I used 1 multiplier without really understanding it, then accidentally used another one because I clicked too fast (this was before knockouts).
During knockouts, I didn’t use any multipliers (I still have 4 left). I managed to score over 100k without them, but I did spend some money unfortunately — I got a bit carried away emotionally.

One thing that felt really strange: most players in my leaderboard stopped playing about 12 hours before the end. I was tied with 2nd place for around 8 hours straight. It honestly felt like I was playing against a bot that just stopped once I started buying gold (which I only used to get more blue candies and push ahead). I ended up playing for 16 hours straight.

Second account:
I started right at 9am when the event began. Other players were using boosters immediately, but I didn’t mind since I knew could play for hours and consistently (I work from home).

I didn’t play much the first 2 days, so I was around 7th place. Then I pushed (again… emotions 😅), used 1 multiplier, and scored more than 30k blue candies in 30 minutes (I was at 40 ish) — that got me to 1st.

After taking a break, I dropped to 4th, with 1st place being 12–15k ahead. With about 12 hours left, I was ~10k behind but managed to catch up to within 3–5k around 2am. The #1 player had been inactive for 2+ hours at that point.

I went to sleep after playing ~16 hours total, woke up at 6:30am, and they were still inactive… so I pushed again and passed them by 2k without using any multipliers.

My thoughts / theory:
It’s really hard for me to believe some of these aren’t bots — especially when someone stops playing 10–12 hours before the end while barely leading.

Strategy reflection:
From reading your tips, I think:

Not using multipliers early is smart
Not pushing too hard at the start also seems important

Current situation:

Account 1 → 4 multipliers left (spent money here, account level 2000+)
Account 2 → 5 multipliers left (around level 1000+)

My plan (testing ideas):

Use Account 1 and join Round 2 only in the last few hours (not sure if this is smart) because I only have 4 multipliers left and for a fact I can’t make it with only 4 at the 3rd round.
Use Account 2 and start a few hours after the round begins.

Questions for you all, specially Christine 😅:

Do you think I still have a real chance with 4–5 multipliers left?
Is starting late actually a good strategy?
Was it similar last year (inactive players / possible bots / advantage in starting late)?
Is it worth continuing seriously, or does it get much harder in Round 2 & 3?

If it has only 1,000 leaderboards in Stage 5, many players may see a flower in their leaderboard 😆

Of course it's worth to continue @eby4 . The purpose of the competition is to challenge yourself, see how far you can get and to have fun. Anyone thinking they could actually win the ticket to London or some real money is a fool. So it's worth to keep going until you're out. Just don't spend any money or lose sleep over it!

I saw that someone started at the last minute and easily managed to advance to the next round. That doesn't seem fair to me either, considering I spent the entire round playing non-stop to get through. If my score counts towards the live final, I'm happy, but at the same time it seems like a blind decision, and blind decisions leave room for the contest to seem like a real joke. Who guarantees that they aren't actors or friends? I prefer something clean and transparent.

So, scoring the maximum points in all rounds is theoretically important for the live final. I think it's wrong and unfair that we don't know the selection criteria for the most important round. I thought it would follow the same logic as the previous rounds: a funnel with 10 groups, and only the first-placed players would be the finalists. Of course, if fraud is detected, the next player would be selected. That sounds obvious and fair to me.

I made it to round 2 final knockouts but only have 2 hex left. Is it worth it to continue?

I’m curious about what levels you are on in the accounts you’ve successfully gotten thru round 1. How many gold bars do you have in these accounts? Are you using boosters to get thru the levels quickly?

In my original account, every episode is such a slog now, where I have to use boosters (party poppers & UFO’s) just to get thru. However, I can watch ads & complete other events to earn boosters & gold bars. There is no way I could’ve sped thru episodes to be the leader in any round.

My new account I was able to speed thru episodes in the tournament, however didn’t get far enough ahead to last thru this last round. I get no ads in this account & must acquire boosters by logging out, start from level one getting boosters & gold bars, then spending the gold bars & returning to my account with the boosters.

Always appreciate your analysis.

It will be first player only in the next round, yes. Leaderboards will be larger and competition tougher. You can join late but this does not mean you will get an easier group. I would expect all leaderboards to be tough in the next round. There won't be any easy ones. The benefit of joining later is that the round will be shorter. If you have to go to work it might be better to wait and start when you have time to dedicate to crushing for long hours.

Do you mean the live final in LA? King don't really tell us about the selection process. Last year it seemed to be the highest scorers across all the leaderboards who were selected, after vetting.

My group was also difficult, and I had to play non-stop. I finished with almost 200k points, and second place didn't give me a break even with a difference of more than 60k. I also had to play a token at the last moment. I was just in the lead and had expected to not see any activity and 10 minutes from the end I was overtaken. It was the most enjoyable and satisfying 10 minutes of Candy Crush I've had in a long time!

The cat decided not to leave it to chance and take and protect the lead, and had no issues.

I observed what looked like a curious VCR effect: ZTC's score jumped on five separate occasions, with the last jumps being 13k, 8k, and 5k. Either their tokens were not utilized well or the VCR split those token streaks into separate parts.

The doggie initially entered just to observe the board, but then proceeded to hex the way to the next round. It was literally a last-minute hex 🤭🤣

I found my group very weird. I started under 6 hours left and played total 12 episodes with little brakes and no tokens. At first there was 3 players who played with tokens and then they just stopped. At the end only one player at 5th place was playing. And there was only 16 players at my group, I assumed there would be 20. When I started the leader had about 12k points. So maybe my group just got filled slowly due to the late entry?
