Anyone who started today can tell me how the competition is going? I'm thinking of sleeping a bit and then starting the round. Depending on the situation, I might play non-stop until the end. Well, that's my strategy at the moment.
I am almost certain now that the app sets us a "task" score to reach, per day of crushing.
I am almost 100% certain that Factory Frenzy sets us a “task” score to reach, it’s 240 stripes in 30 minutes 😂🤣🤣
I had intended to go for a late start myself but changed my mind after my first test game had entered the round. My reason for starting early was this: I am almost certain now that the app sets us a "task" score to reach, per day of crushing. One or two of the other players usually play tokens to reach this task score after which the entire leaderboard is halted, so that we can catch up to reach this score. That is the dynamics I have seen throughout the rounds. By starting early I expected to have more time to catch up, and then take over control of my leaderboard. This Good Friday morning this is exactly confirmed now in my own game: I caught up in a 12 hour slog yesterday and since then at a score of over 80,000 the leaderboard is paused.
Anyone entering late will see similar dynamics, but speeded up because of the late entry. If you do have all day to crush and can play faster than a rate of two episodes per hour you can catch up and move ahead. So please don't be put off by there being players with high scores on your leaderboard. If you still have all your tokens hold on to them.
I expect that there will be some movement on all our leaderboards in the last 24 hours and especially the last 12 hours of the round. I am not sure if entering the round at 12 or less hours remaining is wise as you might find you cannot catch up. Entering at 24 hours left should be o.k. for fast crushers. I am going to speed crush today to establish a lead of 40,000 in case two tokens are applied in the last hour. I saw one game play a token in the last hour in round 1/3, so this being a harder round we could see this doubled.
I suspected this as soon as I noted a strong VCR effect applied to my first test entrant game. That is why I went for the early start but even so I saw similar dynamics as those you are seeing @aaronthewinner. I had more time to catch up than you have, but it can definitely be done, so get crushing!
Don't be fooled by the fact that the others are ahead. There is plenty of time to catch up. I caught up a score of 80,000, which I assume is the "task" score for players during days 1 and 2, in eleven hours. That was a hard slog, but if you have 12 hours to spare then this is achievable. Once I achieved the task and caught up with the leader my leaderboard stopped: In true VCR style the whole leaderboard was put on pause and has now not moved for 15 hours.
I am now debating what to do this morning, as my leaderboard is still essentially paused. I am expecting a late rush, and possibly another token being played tomorrow. So those of us who want to save our tokens for the final round need to make sure we are well ahead when this round finishes, probably two tokens/40,000 ahead might be the sweet point at which it might be safe to sit back and watch. The problem is that these leaderboards seem to stop when I stop and keep going when I am crushing. So crushing hard and fast is the best way to catch up and move ahead, i.e. at a rate faster than one episode per half hour. If you can achieve this you can catch up, then overtake and establish a lead.
Good luck!
I late started about 2 hours ago. Unfortunately, it seems to be less effective this round because of how slow leaderbaord are filling up. When I started, there were people who joined at least 18 hours ago, and only 28 people on it!
Well, how did your late start work out? Hope you're crushing it!
