Why am I in weekly contest with people that are beginners and are playing the easiest levels
Which Mean they can complete up to 500 levels a week
I just can't complete 1 (one,) weekly contest
Hello @PummyRaj This is not a new issue but how the Weekly Contest was changed over a year ago. I think I first noted that I was competing only against new players in my weekly contest in January 2025!
I did some extensive research on the Weekly Contest throughout 2025 and found that :
Like the episode race and Candy Royale players are competing against the game, not against others. I have tried to explain all this previously so many times and most players seem to understood this and accept that is how the event functions.
It is NOT something that needs fixing. It is how this event was designed to function. There are two different tasks aimed at two styles of o players in this event:
A: Those who want to come first will have to pass a lot of levels, usually more than they passed the previous weeks.
B: Players aiming for a podium place will have to play some new episodes but usually this is within their capabilities and as much as they themselves played the previous weeks
My latest game now gives me a new reward for coming first three times in a row:
This is a new incentive aimed at Type A players.
This event is working fine and does not need fixing. Players need to understand how it works and accept the fact that they are playing against the app, not against real people!
@ymoller : I have often seen opponents who only played one single level the entire week like this one below:
The above opponent is an extreme example, of course, but it illustrates that whether these opponents are new players or not is completely irrelevant to how difficult they are to beat. I have seen many new players in my weekly contests who got stuck at level 68, 90 or seemingly stopped playing after one or two levels.
If the app makes it too hard for you to win the Weekly Contest it's probably because you have made good progress recently without spending a lot of money. The app senses if players are addicted to winning, and then it makes this and other events harder to win, so that you will spend more and more and more. If you are stuck at a level since you state you can only pass one per week then I recommend you read my tips here:
Thank you very much for the screenshots @Deal_One 🙏🏼💜
If you come across any other (new) posts in the Community, will you give me a heads-up, please?
Hello @trixid🤗 A Warm Welcome to the King Community!
We have recently escalated this issue to the Candy Community In-charge!
Since it is Sunday night, a new race might have started just now! If you can post below list of screenshots, it would help us to build our case even better please….
Hope it made sense!
Thank you for raising this issue and talk to you soon🍫🍫
I’m on level 20,000 and they are on 1500
this has been happening to me as well, not happy about it
Sorry but no image shows. To post a screenshot use the landscape icon at the bottom of the reply box, the symbol next to the smilie face.
this sucks! I hope you can figure it out!
Would you like to share a screenshot of your weekly contest board please? It would be of interest in understanding how King allocate players. Normally they would not group anyone who scores 500 levels with players who only complete one level per week. I have never seen this in my games. Although the other players are always new players they are usually matched to my own scoring of the previous week. So if I only played one level myself I would be grouped with new players who quit playing after a few levels, never with someone who passed 500 levels.
