We’ve seen some comments recently about the Community feeling a little quiet, and that there could be more fun or easy-to-join conversations here.

So I wanted to ask you directly:

What would you like to see more of in the Candy Community?

It could be things like:

Fun questions about Candy Crush Saga
Tips and tricks from other players
Throwback discussions
Simple contests or more contests
More spaces to share feedback
Discussions about events and features
Something completely different

Or... are there any improvements we could make to the way the Community is set up, to make it easier for you to join in? 🤔

We know that not every player has the same events or features in the game at the same time, so I’d also love to hear ideas for topics that everyone can join, no matter where they are in the game.

I think the change from Off-Topic to Candy Corner is better @QueenB and that's a good start. Now it's thinking of how it's going to be more visible. As I said in another post, maybe Vanilla could change how it's all displayed to something like the Olympics Rings, or something similar so that all five headings are visible, rather than having it hidden and the need to scroll 🤞🙏

Your first bullet point is not a problem I am having. When there is more than one comment, it does take you to the latest comment, so I think that this is working as designed. My problem is when there is more than one comment that I have not read. Finding the latest comment can be done by clicking the link in notifications, however finding the second or third comment can be a challenge. For the second bullet point, this is easy to recreate. Go into a multipage discussion, such as Welcome to the Community, through a link in notifications. Click the Discussions icon at the top of the page. Click Welcome to the Community to get back into the comments and it doesn't open on page 1.

Oh and of course @QueenB don't forget Crush Play & Show. Silly me should have been my first answer to 'What would you like to see more of in the Candy Community' 🤗

The three stripes are on my phone and tablets @christinewupp and I never look 👀 at that either. So we all have it showing in different ways, another confusion 🤕

I have never noted the "Learn more" . It's tiny. It's in a place I never look. This needs to be much bigger and bolder. And it needs to be moved below the search bar and below the season image. Surely nobody ever looks up there:

I’ve noted down the issues you mentioned around:

notifications not leading to the correct comment/sub-comment
discussions opening on older pages instead of the newest replies
difficulty finding the latest comments in long threads
older posts getting resurfaced accidentally
posting/reply issues

I’ve heard similar reports before, so I’ll try to reproduce these behaviors on our side and gather examples we can share with our forum provider for investigation.

First of all, thank you so much for the feedback you’ve shared so far 🙏

I’ve been reading everything, and you’ve already given me a lot to think about and also some clear things I can start looking at. I haven’t replied to every point yet, but I am following the thread and noting things down.

A few things I can start with now:

I’ll take a closer look at the Off-Topic area and how it is shown. I hear the feedback that it may not be clear enough or easy enough to find, especially for newer players. I’ll also look at whether we can explain it better, or if there is a better way to present it.

I’ll also look at the number of announcement-style posts we have, and see where I can reduce that a bit so there is more room for normal player conversations.

There is more feedback here that I want to properly go through, so it may take me a little bit of time. But this is really helpful, and I do appreciate you being so open.

Since we are also talking about the player journey and how easy it is to find your way around the Community, I wanted to mention something we recently added. Under Learn More at the top of the page, there are two pages called Welcome and Getting Started.

These were added to help explain what the Community is, how it works, and what players can do once they join.

I’m not sure if you have noticed them already, but if you have seen them, I’d love to hear what you think. Are they helpful, or is this kind of information still too hidden?

Please keep sharing your thoughts. I may not be able to fix everything quickly, but this thread is giving me a much better picture of what we should look at 😉

Sticking with the Off-Topic @QueenB and before you start reading get a cuppa and one of John's biscuits. Whatever is decided to do with Off-Topic or a replacement, it needs to be shown more clearly. As discussed a while ago in another post, this is what I see

OK I now know that I have to scroll to the right to see Off-Topic, but how many newcomers would know that. Maybe it could be swapped with Ideas, now that's a good idea. Let's face it Ideas is a bit of a laugh really, and could be moved out of sight.

With regard players posting their achievements, they should be left under discussions. I know I'm repeating myself, but we have suggested to players who do that, to keep all their achievements under one thread. I don't think it would clog the front page, as any further discussion would place them down, until they add to their thread, and at least it's a bit of fun to see.

Re newcomers saying hi, how are you. That's the opportunity for one of us to, Welcome them to the Community 🤗. As we know not many respond so maybe that would be the time to move them to the Newbie thread, but let's at least give them a chance. It wasn't that long ago we were offered gold to greet them, so it was felt important then, and no I'm not asking for gold to be offered again.

Okay, so here is my response after sleeping over it:

Like Carol said: The Off Topic area needs looking at. Personally I would like to see it scrapped, as it appears to have become a dumping ground for posts the sorters don't know where to put or posts that are suspicious. Posts do get lost there and are never answered, for example I can see a post from May 13th that was asking how to purchase "coins" online, I assume it's from someone wanting to spend money to buy gold bars.

I have noted that other forums (e.g. Soda) do not have an off topic section.

The Off Topic front page is full of outdated threads, Birthdays in January, February and March still feature there and take up space. Why? The Announcement threads are all old and have received hardly any new comments. The "funniest moment" thread had two comments since July 2025. There are two "Welcome" threads, one in Discussions and one in Off Topic, both do not see much activity and mostly from people lost there who actually have questions or like to post their accomplishments.

My suggestions:

Scrap Off Topic. Perhaps create a new "Social" site instead, giving it a complete new lease of life but then really keep it "on topic" for social engagement and make sure that anything related to the game is put in Discussions. Start completely afresh with new announcements. Keep only these threads: Birthdays for the current month, Where in the world are you playing from. Rewrite the Welcome thread in Discussions, put all the links (to the new social area) in there and then make it read only: It's not the right place for people to say "hi" . We have seen this now for years. People who say hi either get an automated reply or no reply at all and that's more off putting than anything.

There seem to be a lot of players wanting to earn badges. So maybe add new topical threads each month about non game events in the social area. There used to be some popular seasonal threads, such as during a past music season we saw a popular "What's your favourite band or song" thread and people got a badge for commenting on it. Maybe one new non Candy Crush topic each month or season and then replace with new ones. Old threads are off putting. Remove them!

Players do like to post their achievements now, which is great. One thread per person with all their screenshots and achievements is a good idea. These belong in Discussions. I'm not sure though how to avoid them clogging up the first page, but perhaps they would in fact inspire others to post their own achievements, so it's not a bad thing.

There are a few of us who like to discuss features in the game. So one thread per feature is good. Tips about specific levels are no longer relevant now, I would like to add…..again: The game has become uniform and event based. So each event should have one thread devoted to it.

Finally if you do not want to pay staff to oversee the community then let's make it a players site. This means less interference from King admin, not more. A few here would like to share expert tips and experiences but daren't because of the fear of King spies. During All Stars we had some great active threads that were left to us players and thankfully not interfered with. I felt that during that time the community was left alone to fend for itself and it actually worked. When we do create a thread and receive off topic answers then generally we can try answer it ourselves or we can ask King admin to move the off topic post to its relevant thread by tagging. So: The tagging system needs to work, and not just for select people who have legendary status.

Hi @QueenB and @PummyRaj I didn't receive all notifications from the tag since yesterday.

For your question, I hope for more contest in community here.

Just one thing for now: To answer "What do you feel is missing from the Community right now?" My answer would be : The human touch.

There's too much AI, both from King and from others who use AI. I don't mean people who use it to translate stuff. I understand that people who don't speak English like to use a translator, but you can create a text in your own words and then translate it and post it. Too many people seem to have their posts created by AI now and I don't like that. From King's side there is too much "take a look at the Help Centre" , too much automation. It would be nice if King staff could fix the things that are wrong. All that Carol and Peaches mentioned with Vanilla I agree with.

I still miss the Flag button that allowed us to alert spam posts. Too many of those are about still. The AI doesn't pick those up as efficiently as it should. Here is an example: (deleted 22 May)

As you know, I think a lot of fun and discussions have disappeared and I will give some thought on what you have asked. But to start with I will give my honest opinion, which isn't meant to be a downer in anyway, but how I personally feel.

The Community site has become too big to keep up with, too many headers. I get it that Off-Topic is good for certain things, like those posting in saying hi, how are you, what did you have for breakfast this morning. But Off-Topic seems to have taken a lot away from Discussions. It has threads 'Hello, New here? Come say hi and meet the Community' also 'Love Candy Crush Saga - Share Your Accomplishments Here'. Others have also been moved from Discussions to Off-Topic, in a 'Clean Up' which would have been a bit of fun in Discussions. Yes Discussions is to talk about the game, well that's what players accomplishments are all about, isn't it. And it was nice to greet newcomers and explain a bit personally about how things worked . It's all now a bit confusing with so many other places to post/look in.

I know many have got used to the new subthread replies, but I also know many others who think it has really thrown the flow of a thread, and don't post as much or stopped altogether. Many a time I see that someone has posted and I open the thread to read it, scroll forever then give up, without finding it. Sorry a very bad feature, but I guess we're stuck with it 😕.

So for me a bit more thought on what I've put above would start to make it more fun.

Another problem though is the way King have changed so many things. The main one being, having to pass new levels for side games. Yes I know that's not going to change, but how are we all meant to join in those discussions, and have fun when we don't have a chance of joining in the games, that's if we actually get them.

Now tips and tricks from other players 🙄 that sounds a good one, except many of us did that a while back. Didn't take long for King to see what we were putting, they then changed a lot of what we'd said would be helpful, and it wasn't helpful anymore. So sorry, personally I've learnt my lesson and my tricks will be kept under my hat 👒 from now on.

How would you make more space to share feedback, surely that's what Discussions is all about. Or are you thinking of starting another thread under Off-Topic 🙃 🤭

I really still miss the chat feature with our teams. It was nice to engage.

For me the biggest problem is the issues with vanilla. When I can't find the latest comments in a discussion that has many pages it is frustrating and I can't add to the discussion because I can't find what was said. When I go through notifications to find a comment and click the link, it will show the latest comment, but from then on out any time I go back to that conversation it takes me to page 2 or 3 of the conversation and I have to sort by newest to get back to page 1. People being directed to very old posts and then commenting on them. People having trouble posting.

Didn't take long for King to see what we were putting, they then changed a lot of what we'd said would be helpful, and it wasn't helpful anymore. So sorry, personally I've learnt my lesson and my tricks will be kept under my hat 👒 from now on.

I really still miss the chat feature with our teams. It was nice to engage.

For me the biggest problem is the issues with vanilla. When I can't find the latest comments in a discussion that has many pages it is frustrating and I can't add to the discussion because I can't find what was said. When I go through notifications to find a comment and click the link, it will show the latest comment, but from then on out any time I go back to that conversation it takes me to page 2 or 3 of the conversation and I have to sort by newest to get back to page 1. People being directed to very old posts and then commenting on them. People having trouble posting.
