Why is it that every single time I FINALLY get through the nightmare levels, then I get stuck at these free the damned troll levels FOREVER!!!!!! I have been stuck at level 12695 for EONS and it is ridiculous!!!

Event levels (e.g. Petal Peril, Jurassic Journey, Machine Meltdown) are meant to be the hardest levels by far. They are "boss" levels - a final challenge for your current episode.
What this means in practice is that you're almost forced to spend gold bars and lots of boosters to win. Think of it as an episode tax.
I say "almost forced" because you can get through these levels without spending gold bars or boosters, but that's realistically only possible with a win streak and powerful timed boosters.
