Sorry but now I'm seeing the Team Quest event in my own game I feel obliged to create my own thread about it.
I think this event is an illusion like all events in Candy Crush and that it follows exactly the same mechanisms as other events, such as leaderboard events and Deep Dive Dash etc etc.
Here is why I think so:
- There is no way we can choose real friends as team mates. Team mate suggestions are made and allocated by the app in the same manner as opponents in other events including Soccer tournament, jelly streak etc
- Three chests: bronze, silver and gold, each one with slightly better rewards and each one requiring an increasing number of new levels to be played to gain the reward (now where have I seen this before……🤔 ?
- We don't actually work together towards a common goal: In my own team of two players the bronze chest requires 110 levels, for a different team of 14 players the levels required for the same prize is 880, so both equate to about the same number of levels per player (55 vs 62 per player). This would suggest that the best chances of winning anything are to play alone rather than share a team with others, who may be inactive.
Am I really the only one here who can see that every new event coming out of this game is exactly the same?
- Play one or two episodes to win a small prize.
- Play more than two episodes to win a bigger prize.
- Play for hours like a lunatic to win the top prize.
This one is just another version, more of the same.
It's just us against the app folks, always has been, always will be. There's zero chance anything remotely resembling a genuine team event (like the old Fantastic Five) will ever come again to Candy Crush Saga.
