I just can't understand the pattern or rules here on this level:
I always seem to be left 4 or 5 short. This appears to be because the licorice doesn't drop every move. Despite what it says in wiki. For example here on this seemingly lucky attempt (look at all those jelly fish!), even Yeti is smiling hopefully right to the very end, but
nothing more drops….
Now that would mean that 17 moves isn't enough, but wait: What happened here then:
I concentrated just on the licorice here, and can in fact get them all, but of course I fail miserably otherwise.
Wiki states:
licorice
- Spawn 1 every 1 move.
- If there are fewer than 2 liquorice swirls on screen, then the board spawns up to 2 when possible.
This seems to still apply to the first three moves, but not the rest of the level. Can this be? Or is there another rule that states if there are NO licorice left on the board the game will only spawn 1 per move, after a delay so it spawns three every three moves in fact, but if there is one left on the board the game will spawn 2? This is both complicated and unfair.
I finally passed when I spotted this:
On my second move the game was asking me to play a lollipop. So I did. (There's also a chance to make a third colour bomb, so this is altogether my lucky moment)
I just followed the prompts after this and whatever the game did to me, it let me pass, after I played the UFO as well. I can't remember what I did after I played the UFO, but it worked.
I even had one spare here.
Am I missing something again @MannyFae ?
For the record: I always had exactly 17 moves. I didn't play the lucky candy, as I wanted to test the level out. The mixers spawn marmalade.
