What is going on with Chocolate Box? These gold rewards are taken down, and the time limit was shortened to 24 hours instead of 5 days or 3 days. This change is REALLY awful!

There are other ways to get your gold up. I am seeing the Deep Dive Dash again today. It repeats none stop, so I am still seeing my gold balance go up by winning that event, plus the episode races. But I have to play new levels and try to make colour bomb + fish combos in order to win the gold, so it's quite challenging.
And coconut wheels….
Same! I'm willing to spend 10 bars to get the 25 or 40, but if there's no other way to get them, I'm not spending a bunch to maybe get 30 or so on the Candy Royale thing. Not worth it.
Yeah, this update is very disappointing.
But I like seeing the number of gold bars go up as I play… it's what motivates me to continue.
Might be the minority opinion there. At least a workaround exists; we now have a party booster farm (new level candy tasks are still an obstacle; I have avoided every such new level colors task it throws at me.)
Moreover, this chocolate box also does not provide pin packs.
Alas, the one farmable source of gold has evaporated.
It seems to me like you just want to save money. Nothing is really left for the player.
I have it too. Only I have to collect candies in levels again. So I don't get it and start again with the 1st box. It also no longer shows that the booster wheel is turning. If you're stuck you only get 2 boxes.

It repeats again and again.
I've filled it four times this afternoon, while playing four episodes of the game. The tasks are quite easy, such as two combos of two striped candies, 140 red candies on new level wins (if you are lucky one level will do it) or 420 green candies on new level wins, and some other tasks which basically take four new levels to be played, or some can be fulfilled easily and quickly if you pick the right older easy level. So if you play one episode you can finish this box, especially if you scroll back to replay those ever so easy levels one third through the episode. The timed wrap+ stripe stack up, so finishing the box in less than 20 minutes means I have this timed booster all the time and don't need to spend gold for it. Some levels a lollipop will be enough to help us pass and so save us from spending gold bars to pass.
So, to be honest, personally I don't mind this gold box for my game. It suits my playing style. The reward includes three wheel spins. My episode race now gives me only 25 gold but also 3 of those wheel spins as well. So after I played four episodes I got 24 spins:
Those 45 minutes of UFO and the three party poppers will help me win a lot more of those gold chocolate boxes. What I'm saying is: This feature can be exploited. The beauty of the booster wheel is that we can choose just when we want to spin it. If we expect or hope to get timed UFOs, then don't spin the wheel until you are near the harder levels at the back of the episode. Save them up like I did, and chances of getting the timed UFO are much better.
People don't like change, people prefer gold over boosters. But guys, the gold isn't real, it's just a bit more shiny than boosters. Boosters can help us win levels and win episode races, and if you bought them with gold each lollipop would cost almost 10 gold bars. Using boosters to play is so much more fun than replaying levels five times and then spending 10 gold bars for a free pass.
But I'm probably talking to a brick wall again.
This is truly awful. If we can’t get gold bars from the chocolate box anymore what is the point. Is getting extra spins of the booster wheel supposed to make up for that? Well it doesn’t. I have enough fish thanks.

I used to love playing the gold chocolate box but they’ve removed the gold bars and shortened the playing time. There is just no incentive to play anymore.
Are you kidding me? That box is supposed to be gold? Oh hell! If they roll this out to everyone we'll have another uproar in this community. This change is horrible. Thanks for sharing this.
