Update by CM: We’ve reported this feedback to the studio team. The visual effects mentioned in this thread appear to be part of a feature currently being tested.

We’ve shared your comments about the flashing effects, moving backgrounds, and the request for an option to reduce or turn them off, especially for players who find them uncomfortable or distracting.

We don’t have more information to share just yet, but we’ll keep this thread updated if we hear more.

How do I turn off the background visual effects that started showing up today? I never saw those before they’re very disconcerting. I like the game, but I don’t like those effects and I didn’t see how to turn them off in settings.

Hi everyone, thank you for clarifying what you’re seeing in your game and for sharing how it feels while playing.

From the screenshots and comments shared here, this looks like something the team is currently testing. I understand that some of you are finding the flashing effects, moving backgrounds, and extra visual pop-ups distracting or uncomfortable.

I’ve shared this feedback with the team, including the request for an option to reduce or turn off these effects.

I don’t have a confirmed timeline for how long this test will run, or whether changes will be made, but your feedback has been passed on. If I hear anything more, I’ll keep you updated here.

@QueenB Please could you try find out how long it will be until there is a fix to this. I just made the latest update to my game and instead of getting rid of the flashing graphics I now have the childish booster graphics on top of them. I am starting to think you have a mole in the graphics team, someone from a competing game who has deliberately infiltrated King to harm the franchise. These graphic changes are unacceptable and clearly only enjoyed by children under 10.

As you can see I have quite a few boosters left in this account, however since the latest update today made the graphics worse instead of better I will now uninstall the app and free up this device for a different account, which hopefully will not see these unplayable graphics.

Bye-bye all my lovely party poppers, lollipops, hand switches and UFOs!

Please could you let us know when this torture stops so I might try to load this account again.

I came here to voice my opinion on the same flashing matter. I do not believe that the powers that made the decision to blast us with more flashing understand that people who suffer from Seizure Disorder are often highly triggered by flashing lights. Please either give us an out switch or remove them. Thank you.

Hi @christinewupp , thank you for starting the poll and for keeping the feedback together.

I’m keeping an eye on this and on the other comments coming in about the new visual effects. I’ve already shared the first round of feedback with the team, and I’m continuing to collect more examples, especially around the flashing graphics, moving effects, and players asking for an option to turn them off.

I don’t have an update to share just yet, but once I hear more, I’ll come back and update the thread. Thanks again for helping gather player input on this.

Sorry for being so persistent about this one @QueenB but it is just graphics and if King get rid of this it will not affect their profit from the game. If they keep it and roll it out to everyone, it well might eat into the profits as some players will quit playing. So I can't see any reason why we have to suffer this any longer. This test should be kicked out before it is too late. I've already stopped playing the affected accounts.
