Can my device get the latest update?

Unfortunately, the new update will stop supporting some of the previous mobile operative systems. From this moment on, devices with older software versions than iOS 8 or Android 4.1 will stop receiving updates.  

If you want to have the latest Candy Crush Saga update the device needs to be upgraded to the below minimum requirements:

iOS: iOS 8 or above. 

Android: Android 4.1 or above.

If your device can’t be updated to a more recent OS version,  you will still be able to play your current version installed on your device. 

If you can’t download the latest 1.118 version of the game, try updating your device to the newest version of the operative system if possible. Now try installing the new update! 

If your device does not support any of the minimum required OS versions, try using a newer device. The devices that can't be upgraded to iOS 8 or Android 4.1  will no longer get updates.

You say that this new version is improved, does it now allow for boosters to be accrued via sugar drops?  The timed boosters we are forced to endure now are worse than useless as they actually prevent the player from using their own stash and having multiple fish/coconut wheels/question mark candies appear during a game in which they are selected.  Basically the useless timed boosters were programmed so as to be detrimental to gameplay.  Will the new update address this situation?
