No longer able to exit an unstarted board without losing lives - Information and feedback

Dear community,

I'd like to share with you some information in regards to a god old known issue of the game:

as you may be aware, when we access a level, we don't use any move and we exit the level without playing it, we don't lose any life.

This behaviour was not intended since the very beginning and very soon, this issue is going to be fixed.

That means that, once it's fixed, if we access a level to check it out, we don't do anything and we decide to exit the level to go back to the map, we will be losing a life.

Soon they will only have players in the low levels, not as needy as u high level players......

I quit!! This is not right. I actually never complain about things, but I have been playing this since it first came out. In the hospital it was a great time killer. This new change makes it impossible to pass some levels and playing time is shortened. I don’t have much money, so I guess it’s people like me they want to get rid of. I will check back once in a while to see if they switched back, if not soon I will delete app completely. Also I won’t be playing anymore King games as I now see how they treat their players.

I must agree Game Developers. It is unfair to change the rules in the middle of the play. U might want to find a way to compensate those long time players u might lose. They may be worth some....lifetime supply of lives? They will still buy the boosters. At this rate, they wont buy anything.

This new upgrade where you lose a life before you even start playing is going to lose them a lot of players I for one am quitting right now. I am on level 1434 and it sucks. I will check back once in a while, but until they change it I will no longer play. I will also be playing other games, but not King ones as they obviously change the rules when they feel like it.

I registered only to post this. This is a HORRIBLE change. The upper levels are too damn hard to pass without the scramble feature. I have no intention of playing until you reverse this idiotic decision. Way to ruin a pleasant break in my day.

This is a disgraceful money-grubbing change. It makes many games unwinnable without retrying dozens of times. I have better things to do with my time. I’ve played over 3400 levels and have enjoyed it, but I’m done, and I guarantee I’m not the only one. I’ll check back in a few months to see if the massive loss of customers causes the powers that be to reconsider. I simply will never play the game again if this change stays in effect.

Don't be so hasty in uninstalling the Candy Crush Saga App. You can stop playing for now. You might want to see the outcome of this cause.

Remember the Grinch who is a bitter, grouchy, cave-dwelling creature who hates Christmas, who crudely disguises himself as Santa Claus, and Max as a reindeer, spending all night stealing stuff from the houses in Whoville? If you watch the movie, you know how the story ends.The Grinch reforms, goes back to the village to return all of the Christmas stuff to the Whos before participating in their Christmas feast. If the Grinch had change of heart, maybe King would too. Besides, it is Christmas Season, a Season of Hope, Love & Charity!

I began playing this game in 2014 and this is my first communication with you. All players were aware that on some devices you were unable to reset so most of us played on devices where you could reset. The ability to reset has been a fundamental feature since I began playing. To remove that feature is insanity. As one of your posts said "deal with it". You will find that that people will deal with it by leaving in droves and will only return if and when you restore the reset. There have been many times I have felt like leaving this game in frustration and now you have given me an out. I'm out baby !

Well, all I can say is... YOU DON’T CHANGE THE RULES IN THE MIDDLE OF THE GAME!!!! I have been playing Candy Crush because it is fun and doable. I have passed my original goal to make it to level 5000. Currently in the 5400’s ... Was planning on continuing and topping out the game and then just maintaining at the top by completing new levels each week. BUT, I NO LONGER PLAN TO DO THIS IF THINGS REMAIN THIS WAY!!! I did try to play with the new rules, but here’s the thing.... THE GAME IS NO LONGER FUN AND IT IS NOT DOABLE IN A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME!!!!! I WILL NOT WASTE MY PRECIOUS FREE TIME ON A GAME THAT IS NOT FUN AND WHICH I CANNOT MAKE ANY PROGRESS ON. So ... Goodbye, Candy Crush. I will have to be satisfied that I was able to conquer 5000+ levels before the rules made it impossible.

Since many of us quit or are quitting CC, are there other games you'd recommend that we can enjoy playing without the kind of BS thrown at us by King? I need a new game to be addicted to haha!!

forbidden to listen to music.

Yep that right! Suzy. You have been great! Sadly, I’m not sure if I will keep playing. I’m not very good at playing and using that “ex-feature” helped me allot. I have noticed for quite sometime that you had features and boosters I didn’t. Most likely because I play on apple with iOS system. I have enjoyed your videos and helpers very much! I’m only on level 2155. I didn’t start playing until a couple of years ago.

@Sharon_Loose makes an excellent point. I also used the ability sometimes not as an exploit, but for when I clicked on a level by mistake, not knowing what it was, when searching for a particular level.

Because unlike playing on the old Flash version at King.com, where if you hover over a level #, it shows a thumbnail image of what the level is, the Win10 app doesn't provide an image of the level when hovering over the #.

Hey King, why don't you do something useful and wanted like that for the HTML5 version of the game rather than this unnecessary "fix".

It may never have been intended, but I guarantee you that had your latest “fix” had been in place since the beginning, this game would be nowhere near as popular as it has been. It’s challenging enough being able to reset the board, but now it’s near impossible. I have been playing this game daily for years and yesterday I deleted it from my phone.

Hi Suzy! That is an awesome direct representation of this weird error as they claim that went on for 8 years. If this was an 8 error in plain sight with no one in the team noticing it, wouldn't you think they'd be fired by now for revenues lost? They can spin the reasoning behind this anyway they can but 8 years in existence will not fool anyone.

Lost all the boosters for 3 times all together
I've been playing this game since it first came out! Since I don't use boosters frequently, I had a large collection of them all when the game unexpectedly changed and I lost all of my boosters. Three times in all, this occurred. I've lost a tonne of boosters. What causes this to occur? How can I reclaim my unused boosters?
