No longer receiving lives and friends list missing.
Hi CC team, I noticed in the last couple of weeks that I am no longer receiving lives and life requests from FB friends. I checked my FB settings and it is still connected. I also checked and my device (iPad) and the CC app is updated. Hope you can advise soonest. Thanks!

This problem is known. Do you also have access to a PC? Because there you can see what is being played at Spierle. Maybe no candy crush is playing and that's when you don't get any life. It is the case with me. I hope this helps you further! I will still pass it on to @firebombmarkus. He has more information than me.

Thanks for the response, but I do hope you can pass on the question. For further info, I am attaching screenshots. It appears that the game is no longer connected to my FB account as none of my friends are on the list. Before, I could search for my friends and ask for lives I would also get requests to send a life. But this is no longer happening. So my gift lives are almost empty and I am unable to request for a life from friends. Hope this can be resolved asap. Thanks.

Have you tried to reconnect the game to Facebook? As long as it's not connected to Facebook the no messages from Facebook friends will come through.
Make also sure that the game has permission to your Facebook friends list. Check here how to check that.

Okay, so I think the issue is that the Facebook connection in the Candy Crush app installed on my iPad is no longer there, but Facebook still shows it as connected, as you'll see in these screenshots:
I don't see how to connect the app to FB from anywhere (using iPad). I did check the app on my iPhone and it is connected. So I can see my FB contacts there as you see below:
So it seems to be working on an iPhone, but not on the iPad.

Ooh, okay, I think I'm on to something.
I tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling it on my iPad and the FB connection option appeared.
So for those experiencing the same problem, please try reinstalling the app, it just might do the trick! :D
Update:
Though I was able to connect my FB account, the messages icon is not accessible on the iPad. So another issue has popped up. :(
So all my previous given lives is now missing.
What's happening Candy Crush??
