There are probably hoards of new players out there that think infinite lives are a wonderful gift, rather than a gift not worth having. If King keep recruiting hoards of keen new players willing to part with their hard earned then maybe they won't even need to bother creating new levels for the players at the top as you will all have stopped playing. I am struggling enough with a lot of the levels in the high 3000's without booster bot and sugar drops let alone reaching level 6000. I am still interested to see what happens when lock down ends though.
They might well be hoards of them now but I don't think they will stay too long as the levels get harder. The sugar drop tempted players to come back twice a day every day. I expect many, like me, built it into their daily schedule. Many, like me, bought boosters - not huge amounts but regularly which added up over time.
Now the twice-daily tug has gone and the prospect of playing the same impossible game over and over again does not have any attraction.
The pulling power that the most successful games have has been severely curtailed. Time will tell but all things pass and CCS will not stay at the top of the tree forever. I am just waiting for some inspired developer/programmer to come up with an amazing new game which is bound to happen sooner or later.

This statement sums king's suicidal decision.
New players may be willing to part with hard earned cash BUT THEY DON'T NEED TO. The start of the game is free to play.
If the existing players all need to stop playing then, by that same logic; as soon as the new players have to pay and still struggle on levels THEY WILL "all STOP PLAYING" too.
