What a shame that the King has turned into a horrible Rat. His palace must be swarming with them. The owls will eventually get them all!

I am at level 7055, no more games to play until Wednesday...

I am at the same level like you, waiting for the next episodes; but I am absolutely pissed off with King!
And that's all the more reason for them to not change anything; players are still getting by...
I play lots of mainly word games and in many of them I have completed all levels and am waiting new levels to be released which has not happened for months. I then just move to another game.
Which brings me to the problem with CCS.
THE PLAYERS!
Most of us have been very happy to work through levels at a leisurely pace, enjoying collecting boosters to help crack that pesky level.
From what I read here there are some players who seem to be obsessed with winning every level the minute the new ones are released in as short a time as possible. What is the matter with these people - are they all lacking in self esteem and need to prove to other players how good they are or do they seek out our awestruck admiration.
This insatiable demand for ever more levels is what has caused King\whoever to re-evaluate its strategy. It is unrealistic to expect an unending flow of new levels every week so their response has been to try and slow down the rate the levels are being gobbled up by taking away beloved features and coming up with new ways to make the levels harder.
The end result being that the game that used to be fun and enjoyable has now become a tedious slog with very difficult levels and very few boosters.
Unfortunately this cat and mouse game between the developers and the top players shows no sign of abating.
Perhaps they could consider taking out all these 'superplayers' and putting them in a new 'superleague'' so they can fight amongst themselves (and take away all their stashes of boosters whilst they are at it)
Then give the rest of us the sugar drop back and we can then pootle along at a leisurely pace enjoying the ride.
Not sure where you got your data to come to your conclusion but in my opinion it's greed, not players.
No data - I just read all the posts - so many players complaining they have done all the new levels an the blink of an eye and have to wait for the next release of new levels. Also complaints about the difficulty of levels and having to use 4 switches, 3 lollipop hammers and 2 flying saucers to pass (for eg).
These people do appear to appear to have unlimited boosters and gold bars when you watch the videos. Just my opinion but based on what I see and read.
@Von_3, I'd like to differ with your opinion. The percentage players that is in that category is minuscule compared to the number of players playing CCS. It does not make business sense then to target the few.
In any case, quite a few of those players have amassed hundreds of boosters over the years, so they certainly will not purchase boosters.
I recently read a post of a player completing the 45 new levels in just over three hours and that was two weeks in a row. That's an incredible 4.6 minutes per level on average if it took him 3.5 hours to complete. That probably means he passed each level first time using amassed boosters, or his skill is phenomenal. I very much doubt if they spend any money on boosters. If he is one of them that has such a lot of boosters, he can basically smash his way through tough levels. I'm basically speculating here.
The point is KING will not waste time on the insignificant few, but rather the bulk.
@Ah_Kwang, you can easily match that player, being on the level that you are. There are levels that gives you CB's in abundance. I'm sure someone will share that with you privately.
Start a group, I will join yours. Have the same problem. We're just two keeping up the score. We contribute about 2 500 per week
@Bumper2019 - Then why the studio so adamant to not bring back the old game and cheer the players. Beyond 180 pages many players are fuming about the crappy changes being brought to the game. Are they even considering to bring the game back to its usual enthusiasm ? What's the use to have access to the community when they cannot act upon the player's complaints ? Close to 2 months I have not played CC. I am regular player for 6 years and this is what the development team has done. It's so harsh that the game is being spoilt on all aspects.
