Why are you taking my lives

why after loosing a level does it ask if you want to quit but it will cost you a life so i click on it and it takes my life but wont let me bypass the level im stuck at but its taken a life away I refuse to spend money on games thats just my personal choice but why is it taking the life for no apparent reason?

@lizanne75 If you fail a level or you quit a level it will take a life away. quitting the level is just the same as failing the level. you do not have to purchase lives you can request lives from friends or wait for the life counter to add them on
