I haven't been able to compete or advance for over 6 weeks. There are others experiencing the same. How much longer before we can play again.

Level 7229 has been fixed long time ago. Please do the standard troubleshooting procedure by. Log out, update your game application, clear cache (in case of browser), restart your device and login again to see if it solves your case.
