Level 4397 is fixed . Which device are you play ?
Could you try with clearing the cache and cookies on your browser and see if that helps when you play on Facebook?

I am having the same problem. It says to get 34 yellow candies, but everytime I hit just 1 yellow candy, the game ends even if I still have many moves left.

Make sure update your game . Order for level 4397 is 17 yellow candies

My game is u9pdated and still it shows 34 yellow candies target and i have done log out and log in also
