You're absolutely right and your misery has plenty of company. Apparently the PC version of this level is much easier -- 20,000 points in 40 seconds or something like that. I really hate that King keeps being inconsistent with levels across devices. Yes great if you have a PC to play on! Not everyone does.

The issue with the timed candies was addressed in a recent update so I would update your game in the app store and hopefully then your levels will be up to date and include the timed candies. I have the same problem playing on my IPad. It's just not possible to destroy the mixers in 4 moves....after that the metal takes over. Used my five lives in 2 minutes flat. Why hasn't this question been resolved?
